We just got back from 5 nights at Boardwalk and 2 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas.

When we first got assigned our room at the Boardwalk, I noticed it was one of the new rooms on the first floor. I really wanted a view of the boardwalk but I didn't want to be ON the boardwalk. Luckily we were able to move to the 4th floor. Our room was great as always and we had a great stay. We all loved the Easter eggs decorated by the different areas and displayed for the guests. The are some incredible artists behind the scenes there.

We had never stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge before and we had a value studio for 2 nights. WOW! We were lucky to get a savanna view and absolutely loved it. The room was beautifully decorated and the entire resort is just gorgeous. I would love to return here. My boys have even said it is now tied with Boardwalk as their favorite place to stay (and that is saying a lot for them because they love the Boardwalk!). I would to have some points with this resort as my home resort.

Internet still was not free. I hope it is on our next visit.

Glad you had a great trip!

We were at AKV a couple weeks ago in a studio concierge and agree, it was great!

I keep hoping that every time I make a new reservation I might be able to book at BWV or BCV, but since I don't own there it's a little more difficult. I just keep trying though...ya never know when the pixie dust might come my way.

Glad you had a great trip. I can't wait to stay at AKV.

Thanks for that report.

We will be doing 6 days each at BWV and AKV for our July trip.

How was the transfer did you do it or let them handle it.

Thanks for the report. Glad to hear that you liked AKV. We will have our first stay there in July. Can't wait!

Sounds like a great trip. What room number for AKV value studio did you have? I have a reservation for Dec.2008 in a value studio and would love to have a savanna view. If you have any other info regarding the value studio, I would love to hear about it.

We love BWV/AKV split stays. BWV and AKV are my 2 DSs favorite resorts as well.:thumbsup2

We are also spending time at AKV and BWV. BWV is our home and we love love love it! But AKV is our second fav because it is so gorgeous and unique we just had to try it. We got a one bedroom standard for one night. We'll see how we like it and if we wind up loving it as much as we think we will, we'll be booking a stay there again real soon! Thanks for your post.

Thanks for all of the replies.

As far as our transfer from BWV to Animal Kingdom Lodge villas, we had our bags transferred over through Disney and just went to the parks that day. Check in was easy and our bags arrived shortly after we went to our room

Our room number at AKV was 5124 (I think). It was a value studio and I think it was on Ostrich Trail. We saw lots of animals from our balcony. We saw 3 giraffes, 4 zebras (including a young one who liked to run in circles around the area), ostriches and more. The kids loved the view as did I.

The room was just gorgeous. I wasn't sure how I would like AKV, but I am so in love with it now. I can't wait to go back.

Everyone who is heading there in the future, I hope you have a great time!

Glad to hear that you had such a great trip. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at the AKV. We have stayed at AKL twice before and just loved it. Last month we bought 200 points at AKV.

We're doing a spllit stay at AKV/BWV in June. But we're doing 2 nights in a studio at AKV to start and then 3 nights in a 1br BWV. I'll try to see if I can get an upper floor (or at least not the first floor) for the boardwalk view room. Did they move any refrigerated items for you or just the baggage?

Glad you had a great trip! We just finished our 1st trip home to AKV. We had a 1-bdrm. Concierge level the 1st night and a 1-bdrm. SV the other nights. We LOVED AKV!! It was better than I could have imagined. Every morning we woke up to some kind of cattle sleeping right under our balcony. It was so thrilling to watch all of the animals from our room. I never got tired of it! :cloud9:

We will be staying at BWV in July and we're looking forward to trying that resort as well. :goodvibes
