Just back from BWV - 1st stay home

I just returned from 3003, a 1 brdm BW view. This was my first trip home to my home resort. Yes the walk to room was long, but we loved it, loved the one large balcony. The room was very clean and seemed in good shape.

Took Mom on this trip and she commented on how they seem to really keep the place up. One day they were touching the paint up, one day they shampooed the carpets in the hallway.

We did use the back staircase and would walk to Epcot by going around Jellyrolls and strolling the BW instead of the long hallway. Nice change of scenery.

THe best part was the view of Illuminations from bed. As Mom said, where else can you see such beautiful fireworks from bed

I know there has been mixed reviews here on the boards, but we loved it.


One more thing, the CM's were OUTSTANDING!!! From check in to valet and bell services. They were the best CM's we encountered, every single one of them.

Yay, I am soooo glad to hear this. We are headed there in June in a 1BR BW view, so I hope our first stay is as great as yours!!

I'm surprised the carpet in the hallway looks nice was it in a high traffic area??
The "new replacement carpet" just doesn't seem to hold up as well as the original "boardwalk boarded" carpet of yesteryear!!! I think it looked better than the floral Mickey carpet the BW has now!! Too "BeachClubish" for my taste.

We stayed a few doors down in 3007 a few weeks ago. The room was in really good shape, and the view was fantastic. We only stayed in that room 1 night, but also had a great room on the std. side close to the elevators.

As for the negative BWV reviews, WE HAD 2 REALLY FANTASTIC ROOMS WITH GREAT TRANSPORTATION IN JANUARY!!!
