Just returned from our 1st DVC use! We stayed at BLT on the 16th floor, room 8605. Its a 2 bedroom dedicated lake view. WOW! The view was amazing. We could see the pool, the lake, Epcot, the Electric Light Parade. It was fantastic. Also got a rather unpleasant view of a man naked on his balcony...
The room was great, but yes its definitely taking its toll. The fridge was dinged, and the furniture had lots of nicks...sad since it hasn't been open that long. But I really have no complaints about the room because it was great having so much room. My 6 year old couldn't reach the sink so we had to push a chair up to it so she could brush her teeth..but thats about it.
Yes its a walk to get to the monorail and food but who couldn't use a little more exercise!
We didn't use the buses so can't comment on that.
We had AMAZING Disney magic when we were there. We got picked for the family of the day at Magic Kingdom and a few days later my husband and kids got picked for the family of the day at Epcot to ride in the test track car. My girls also got to be honorary princesses for the day at Cinderella's Castle and got to go into the castle and lead everyone up the stairs. All of this was totally unexpected!
We didn't really encounter any rudeness, maybe a grouchy CM here and there but nothing like others have seen!
We had a great trip and can't wait to go back.
Oh we also spent 1 night at Kidani village. I LOVED the rooms there, but didn't like being so far from everything (parks, counter service food, etc).
Will try to figure out how to post pictures of the room!
