Well, we got back on Sunday. I have been attempting to catch up at work. Sorry that takes priority.

We were in 377 at BCV. It was ready for us when we arrived at noon. The room was at the end of the building. Very quite and a great view of the EPCOT fireworks show the nights we were not out someplace else. We had one issue with the DVD player, watch out for damaged disked from the rental counter. It was fixed promptly. I was impressed with BCV as well as was the DW. We had bought sight unseen last fall. It was clean and neat, the staff was great. The only real problem was the coffee that we were served in Cape May, it tasted like industrial waste. Filled out a comment card on that. Is there any other way to protest (other than not drink it at all)?

It rained a great deal during the week that we were there (1 JUN - 8 JUN), but did not spoil the fun.

Any questions?

Since you brought up the DVDs- Was there a decent selection for adults as well as children? Is it free for DVC members?

Glad you enjoyed your BCV stay.

That coffee at most WDW spots these days is truly horrible isn't it. I've read that it's a premixed liquid, not brewed at all. Yuck!

Carinne,

We perused the video selection while at VWL this past Memorial Day weekend...

There was a fair selection to choose from. Everything was Disney - but from all the different studios. There were several movies that I didn't even realize were from Disney affiliates... Older stuff - like "Dead Poets Society" - but several good choices...

Carlnne -

When we went to the DVD's at BCV we felt there was a decent selection for young children, for our 13 and 11-year olds, and for adults only. Only problem is that there's only one DVD player in the living room and so we were limited to wathing family-friendly movies for the week.

BCV rentals are free for DVC members. You are able to "rent" two at a time, and they have to be back by 10:00 or you will be assessed at $5.00 late fee. The movies are like typical rentals - not well cared for (like ones you would own at home), but not a problem to play either.

BCV23 -

Fortunately I brought plenty of coffee from home and was abe to get my fix in the comfort of my room. Most mornings I was up way earlier than the girls (DW, DD's) so I made some coffee and read e-books on my IPAQ until they woke up. Now that's vacation!!

Thanks for the great trip report! Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at BCV. Like you, I also bought there sight unseen. I've stayed at BCV twice so far and both times have been wonderful.

Just wondering what size room #377 is?

crainbow... Thank for the report. Sounds like you had a great time despite the rain.

travelbug .... Room 377 is a dedicated 2 bedroom. It is at the end of the building near the parking lot.

As was mentioned, 377 was a dedicated 2 bedroom.

In the mornings I made coffee for myself as the DW and MIL drink only hot tea. The couple of times that I drank the industrial waste in the restaurants I was told it was made from "flakes". Avoid this stuff at all costs!

Also I forgot to add, the water pressure was great, lots of hot water, and no ants.

Thanks, Terry!:D

crainbow, did the motion sensored A/C keep up with the heat while you were sleeping? Just curious! ;)

Sheesh, you can always tell the new posters... they never seem to have their priorities straight. Work before trip reports. What are you thinking???? ;)

Unfortunately, I think the only way the cruddy coffee is going away is if WDW loses Necafe as a sponsor, and becomes friends with Juan Valdez. Until then, my coffee maker will remain my friend!

Thanks for the trip report, and glad to hear that you enjoyed your time at BCV, despite the rain.

O.K. I am new here and have been reading about all the DVC stuff. We just bought at BCV and was wondering about the different rooms such as dedicated room ...

Thanks for the help in advance.

We had the fan on all the time and did not really notice any difference. There was one day when we came back in when it was noticed that the air was still and warm, but within a short time the A/C had brought it down.

It should be noted that we did not hear any noice from the parking lot in this room and very little noice from the road traffic. It was a very peaceful and relaxing week.

I will humbly ask forgiveness of the forum for having my priorities out of order. :)
