My mom and I were at the BCV 11/9-11/12 for girls' weekend. We had such a GREAT time. It's the first time we've ever done something like that and what better place than Disney?!! Here's a "brief" room and trip report for anyone interested.....

1)Tiffany Towncar picked us up at the airport. Sam was our driver, very nice and helpful. We will definately do TTC again.

2) Arrived around 2:00 pm after a brief grocery stop. The room wasn't ready yet, so we changed into our suits, left our bags with Bell services and hit the pool. After lunch and a couple frozen margeritas, we really weren't in much of a hurry to get to the room;)

3) I had reserved a studio, but hadn't put in a room request because it was such a short trip, and we really weren't going to be in the room that much. MISTAKE! We ended up with 228, near the elevators, but a handicapped accessible room. I really didn't mind the low counter for the wet bar area, but you have to put the coffee maker on the counter in front of the microwave to use it, so that means you can't use the microwave at the same time. No big deal for us, the only food we had was nachos and they don't go well with coffee. The other problem is the sink area in the bathroom. There is NO counter space for toiletries and someone is going to electrocute themselves using the hairdryer because the shower spews water all over the floor. Mom and I don't mind sharing the bathroom either, but it would be better to have a separate vanity area. The balcony however is HUGE!! It's twice the size of my bathroom at home. We were over looking the pool and other than the bathroom, thought the room was great. Oh, the bed is lower than normal, too. A little disconcerting when you first sit down.

4) Went to Cirque du Solei on Sat night. AWESOME!!! DH bought me the tix for my birthday.

5) food and wine festival all day Sunday. Very fun and nice to do it without kids so I had time to enjoy the countries. Mom and I got Henna tatoos in Morocco, my don't we live dangerously:D

6) I thought it was supposed to be the QUIET pool:confused: On Monday night after I worked on my comprehensive exams for grad school (Take home exam due 11/13, so not just kids bring homework to WDW) Mom and I wanted to go relax in the pool around 11pm. Well, we went down to the pool and there were a few young kid (6-11ish) playing in one end of the pool with 2 dads, no bigdeal, but they were a little noisy, and I felt bad for people who were already asleep. My problem is the "mother" who sat in the lounge chair and watched her 2 sons do cannon balls into the pool right next to where my mother and I were trying to float around and enjoy our last night at WDW. The only thing this person who called herself a mother did was say "Robby, 5 more min. ok?" NOTHING said about the fact that he was cannonballing 2 complete strangers. and 45 minutes later "mom" was still telling robby that he only had "5 more minutes" GGRRRRR!!!!! What are people thinking letting their kids yell and scream like that at 11 at night in a hotel??!!! I don't get it.

7) treated my mom to a character breakfast at the Cape May. So glad that the characters make the rounds to the adults too!!!

All in all a great trip. The Christmas decorations were up in the hotel. I actally didn't mind that they were up early, because we can never go for X-mas and I'm glad we got to see them. Tiffany picked us up on Tuesday. Hector this time, he's sooo funny!! He knew about the Dis boards and said if we hated the service he gave, then his name is JOHN;) Can't wait to go back!!!!!!

jacksmom....thanks for the quick trip report. Glad you had such a nice time.

And yes, the attitude that some people show is nothing short of amazing sometimes. So many seem to have the attitude that "I paid a lot for this vacation and nobody is going to tell me what to do or how to enjoy it!".

Common courtesy seems to be foreign to so many people these days.

But I'm glad you really enjoyed your trip.

Thanks again for taking the time to update us on your trip.
