Hi All
Spent 9 nites in a 2 bedroom villa, it was beautiful! We requested 3rd floor or higher, ns, dedicated two bedroom, epcot view. We got all. But i do not know if i would request an epcot view again, the road was like right off the balcony. You could not hear any traffic with the slider closed, but watching cars drive by while sitting on the balcony wasn't so great. (as the saying goes: be careful what you ask for).

love the pool, the location to EPCOTand MGM, friendly people, Got "Welcome Home" from the gentleman at the gate, the doorman, the customer service or should I say cast member?. I'm soooo GLAD we became DVC members, I love this place

Ate twice at Cape May (DH top restuarant this trip), Kat our waitress was very nice.
Once at Whispering Canyon- a little too much bbq for me, but it was ok. After dinner we went to the dock to get a boat back to MK to watch the fireworks- we missed it, but we did get to see the light show on the lake that was cute, never even knew that existed.
Tried "Le Cellar" the canadian restuarant in EPCOT, just DH and me, really enjoyed that, service was great, food was good.
Twice at ESPN Zone, food is very good, price isn't bad for disney, service o.k.
Ordered in for Pizza Hut Pizza (they deliver to the valet area) one nite, eight of us, four pizzas, 3 liters of pepsi = $60.00 with delivery and tip. Great deal.

Tt rained almost everynight which is pretty normal for this time in Florida, but it seemed to last a lot longer then usually (like 2 to 4 hours), also one night possible tornato sighting. oh well all the rain gave us an excuse to take a nap. MGM fireworks were rained-out :( Have to wait until next trip in Oct.

Two things i wasn't crazy about, but can live with

1. The hallways at BCV are really long, all that kept running thru my head as i was walking down the hall to our room was
"REDRUM, REDRUM, REDRUM" stand at one end of one of those hallways and look down, your'll see what i mean.

2. The growds at the parks this year. We come every year at this time and have never waited more than 10 minutes to get on a ride, this year was crazy, alot of wait times were 50 minutes, thats nuts. I blame the "Fairy-tale" special, and am praying they don't offer it next year at this time.

Sorry this is so long, We had a GREAT TIME. Well gotta go plan for next year, its only 11 months and 15 days away

Thanks for the report. Glad to hear the room was beautiful.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time.:D

Thanks for the report! We are looking for a 2 br next summer at BCV and thanks to your insightful post (and that of others) I think we might just opt for pool view... we can see EPcot at Epcot, I guess! :)

I have been VERY dismayed by all the posts about the crowds this August -- we too love to go in August (usually it's the one time we can escape my sons/dh's sports seasons yet not impinge on school). Last year was wonderful -- low crowds, very reasonable. DH in fact declared it as good as October -- just hotter (which isn't so bad since our crew absolutely LOVES the water parks at WDW.) It hadn't occurred to me that it would be due to a special rate (like FTP) -- could very well be true. We have already planned to go next August -- so NO FTP, PLEASE, Mr. EISNER! (or anything even close to it!)

(THanks again for your post!)

Thanks for sharing. Glad you had a good time! :)

Thanks for the report...sounds like a great trip!!

I guess now we can add the l....o.....n.....g hallways at BCV to our list of resorts with long walks?? :p :p <--- that means this is a joke!

We go in mid-summer, so those kinds of waits don't sound that bad. But I can see if you're used to 10 minute waits, that would come as a shock! Thank goodness for FastPass...though you probably haven't even needed that on previous trips!

Thanks for sharing your trip, DeeDeeDis! "Home" is sounding better and better. I can't wait till it's my turn to go.

Pat

98 days and counting . . . again!

DeeDeeDis, glad to hear that BCV was "Shining" ;) for your trip

Thanks

Thanks so much for sharing! We leave next weekend and I just love all these good reports for BCV!! Glad you had a great trip!

Great report! We were at WDW (OKW) last week, and the rain was long everyday for us too. We thought the lines were short though for this time of year! With fast passes, I don't think we ever waited more than 5 minutes for anything we went on except when DH and DS waited about 15 minutes for Mission Space, and then it broke down just as they got in the vehicle.

Hey Diane - We were a little slow on the use of fast passes this year, not sure why.
My DH, DS, DB and family were stuck on Mission Space when it broke down, opening all those pods took about 15 minutes they said. But didn't deter them, they got right back on it. Hope you got to try it, its a pretty cool ride.
DH and I took a ride over to OKW, wanted to look at one of their rooms but they didn't have a "runner" available. Thinking of staying there next year
Inky Dinky - GREAT JOB! congrads on the weight loss
JaySue - four resorts in four months - i'm jealous
Lexxiefern - HAVE FUN

Thanks for the report. We will have a 2-BR next year at BCV. As for your comment about REDRUM I have to say I didn't find the BCV hallway as scary as the L-O-N-G one at VWL! Not that really reminded me of the shining. Any else think so? Annmarie

No hallway is longer then the contemporary garden rooms. In 2000 we had a tower room and was going to switch to a moderaye resort when they gave me lake view at the moderate rate. I had the last room down near the tennis courts. Hey" someone call me a taxi! I took my mom that trip and im still hearing about the room.
