Hi all--

I actually have 2 room reports as I had 2 - 2BR reserved.

The first 2BR was from Dec 2-Dec 6 for my parents and sibs. I reserved a 2BR dedicated with 2 queens and had requested non-smoking, upper floor, Epcot view. They received room 367 and were totally blown away by the view of Illuminations off to the right and the view of Spaceship Earth to the slight left. This room seemed in great shape to me, but as I only visited and didn't "live" there, not quite sure.

The second 2BR was from Dec 3-11 for my immediate family (me, DH, DD8 and DS9) and my inlaws. This was a lockoff because I wanted the inlaws to have their own kitchenette since FIL is a total early bird and I didn't want him making coffee in the big kitchen at 5am waking everyone up.

We got 369/371 - right next to my parents which was great for the kids. The room was in good shape, but I'm a homey, laid back person who doesn't go through the white glove inspection so you can take my opinion for what it's worth. Yeah, I noticed some nicks in the coffee and dining room table, but nothing that wouldn't be out of the ordinary in a normal home.

We were so impressed with our room placement especially as both parties arrived after 8:30pm. We did inform them of our late arrival and the CMs on check in were very pleasant. No bad attitudes; just people plainly happy to be doing their jobs. I am pleased to say that the Front Desk personnel were very professional and they have always been that way when I have been at BCVs.

And I can tell you that Engineering is going around servicing rooms. Ours was being serviced on Tuesday or Thursday (can't remember) and we had a whole crew there when we came back after lunch. Changing lightbulbs, changing the furnace filters, checking the appliances...there were like 3 or 4 people there. And FIL reported a leaky faucet in his kitchenette area. He didn't want to call when it happened but I told him he needed to let them know so it would get fixed. Well he asked one of the crew to look at it and the guy stopped what he was doing and did it. Turned out the faucet was completely broken and needed a complete replacement which came later that afternoon.

It was just cool to see the extent to which Engineering services the rooms. There's so much that goes on that we all probably never see that plays a part in our enjoyment of our vacation.

I have to tell you though that Illuminations is loud and downright annoying when you want to hit the hay early. I mean the concussions seriously come right through the building. Though I dearly love the view, I seriously am comsidering asking for pool view next time so if we want to go to sleep early, we don't have to worry about waiting for Illuminations to finish before we can actually settle in. But it is kinda nice to watch from your room...

All in all, no complaints. Can't wait to go back in October.

Thanks for the report.

The special holiday ending for Illuminations is the really loud part. Someone posted that it caused car alarms to go off in the parking lot. I don't think they will continue it after the holidays.

I loved reading your report! It sounds like you had a wonderful vacation, and with both sets of parents and other family members.

Bobbi :D
