Hi.. this is not my trip report, but I wanted to get a few things out while they were fresh..

1. Beach club did not win our hearts like the BW did. Nice hotel, just didn't grab us.

2. SAB pool is great, we only went in afternoons so we never fought for a chair. The kids actually preferred to swim in the quiet pool rather than wait in line for slide and swim with everyone. But they did like the sand bottom.

3. B&C is great with vouchers! We ate there at least 3 times and used 2-3 vouchers each time for 2 ad & 2 ch. 3 vouchers is too much. The kids shared the hot dog meal (it is a big hotdog) and hubby and I shared the dbl burger or chicken sammich. Onion rings, fries, fruit and big desserts. We even shared our flavored sodas. $60++ bills were paid with 2 vouchers.

4. Rainforest Cafe with vouchers - quanity over quality. Lots of food, not very good though. We had the stuffed lobster and steak for our entree's.. .but the appetizers were definitley better! The dessert was awesome too. Used 2 adult vouchers & 1 childs voucher (chicken nuggets)

5. Mama Melroses with the VKL vouchers.. AWESOME! Hubby had veal chop, i had Chicken parmesan. The kids had chicken fingers (what else LOL). 3 appetizers, 3 deserts. I paid for the chicken wiht cash.

6. For kids to eat if they only want hot dogs & chicken fingers.. FYI, the cart at the BW has both. The chicken fingers were the best that we had the whole trip. $5.25 for all white meat chicken breast meat... 3 big tenders... the kids didn't even finish them.

7. ESPN zone is a rip off for the kids. The guy charged me $2 for a pop for each of the kids (total $4).. but he brought them in a KIDS CUP!! When I questioned him upon examining the bill... he told me that they don't have kids prices for pop. I asked why he didn't bring them a full size soda then?!!!!!!!!!!!! He told me that there were unlimited refils... funny, they were never refilled!!!!!!!!! So, I took the $2 off his tip. I think that any good waiter would have had the decency to only charge for one soda between the 2 kids if he was bringing them in little kids cups and never refilling them.

8. Fast pass and baby swap are an excellent combination. The 8yr old girls got to ride all the highlights 2 times in a row. This was awesome.. BUT we didn't get as much accomplished doing this. It was ok though. Advice if using baby swap.. GET THERE EARLY and FP one ride.. get your Baby swap ticket and go get the fp for the next ride.. keep moving.

9. Baby center at Epcot is very convenient to Test Track. Go there with the baby while the family FP's TT. Baby center at MGM is nothing great. Baby center at AK is nice. I didn't visit MK baby center.

10. kids loved the kids burrito meal at Spain in Epcot. They are just soft shell tacos with meat and cheese only. Order a side of cheese for the kids to dunk their chips.. 25cents.

11. Character breakfast at the Poly is great. Mickey, Goofy, Chip, Dale. Food was good, ambiance was good. Last morning of our trip - it was nice.

12. Get the autographs in Epcot. The bus comes around 11:20 (i think). Hang out in the shop until the bus arrives and RUN in line for Mickey, Donald etc. We got all the autographs this way in short of 15 minutes. Kept the kids from wanting to stand in all the lines.

13. for babies.. nurse the babies wherever you want to. I found many a park bench far enough from attention that I was able to cozy up with babe and feed her. I used the baby center once at each park.. just to use air conditioning and change diaper and nurse in quiet. Other than that, I fed her wherever/whenever... rides/benches.. whatever.

14. Stoller.. we ended up bringing the big old Graco quatro tour. It reclined all the way, the bottom folds up to form a bassinett so that we could lay her in there when she was asleep without her sliding out. Yes, the stoller is big - but it wasn't that bad to fold up for the busses. we took a cooler, diaper bag and sling with us to the parks.

15. Mesh Sling.. what a lifesaver! I used it to hold baby on the bus, in line, when she wanted to sleep. BUT I used it most as a sun shield! I brought bider clips and secured it to the canopy with the clips. I then draped it down to keep sun off baby. It was great!

16. Water parks = we went to BB with the baby. She went on the lazy river with me... I put her in the raft withthe bottom. Then I rode with her on me. It was fine. I also took her in the wave pool. I went out til a comfortable depth where I could bounce without having to squat. Baby loved it!

17. shopping.. buy the cooler and the water.. so worth it!

Thanks for the info!

Will be at BC at the end of the month.

At RFC do they have kids meals now? I didnt see chicken Nuggets on the menu when we were there in June. I'll be using Vouchers also. What dessert did you have?

We liked having our own stroller last trip and Im debating on how i'll get it to WDW since we are flying. Was it a hassle to fly with your stroller or did you drive? My boys are older, but we like having a place to carry our stuff and as a just in case.

Thanks again for the details!
Lifer

Hi!

Yes, there was a kids menu at RFC at AK. THere were nuggets on there, but they didn't look very good. They were processed nuggets vs white meat tenders.

Stroller.. we used ours through the airport, so it was definitely no problem to bring along... we just put the baby in a strolled along. We drove it all the way down the gateway and gate checked it. The only 'issue' with the stroller was space in the rental car. We had a full size car (Dollar - Intrepid). We had 2 large suitcases, 1 medium, 3 bags and other misc stuff. DH popped the wheels off the front of our big stroller and he was able to get it all in the trunk and close the trunk.. just took a few minutes of his time to squish it all in there.

have fun on your trip!!

Hi Iwannago!

Did I understand you to say that the Boardwalk now has a food cart that serves chicken fingers? My kids are such picky little things and that is their favorite. When we stayed at BC about 18 months ago that was my biggest complaint (we couldn't find chicken fingers anywhere... finally located some at the Dolphin on our last night there). This might help convince them to give that area another try!

Yes KelyJ!
There was a cart on the Boardwalk with chicken tenders... acutally, they were the best that we had anywhere! They were $5.25 and they were 2 HUGE white meat tenders.. too much for my 8 year olds to eat. They came with fries. They also served hot dog baskets at that cart.

For what it is worth, they cooked them right there. They don't cook them until they are ordered. And they also asked my hubby if he wanted 2 big ones or 3 smaller ones. The 2 big were MORE than enough..

enjoy!!

This is such EXCELLENT news for us!! Thanks so much! It's amazing what small things can make a trip, isn't it?
