Just back from ASMusic 10 day stay...

We've been back a couple days and I miss it already! Our stay was, as usual, wonderful! I'll list a few things, but if you have any questions, fire away!

1. The newly refurbished rooms look great, two big thumbs up on that one!

2. I requested a medical fridge, but I think I got a regular one instead. Others had said the medical fridges were just big enough for medicine, but ours held a bunch of water, milk, the medicine and had room to spare. I didn't get charged for it, so I'm not complaining, it was a nice surprise!

3. They played games at the pool at 2:00 p.m. every day. Nice for the kids. They also showed a movie every night at 9:00 p.m. at the pool. Again, a nice thing to offer.

4. Busses were prompt. We only had to wait more than 5 minutes one day for a bus to MK. For a stay of 10 days, I think that's a pretty darned good record.

5. My only complaint was we had ordered two wheelchairs from Care Medical and the resort gave one of them away to someone else before we got there . The resort paid me what I will owe Care Medical for the one chair, so it turned out ok, just a little frustrating to have to deal with at the time.

Other than that, we had a great time!

BTW...My DH and I toured some other resorts looking for where to stay on our 25th Anniversary trip, but we decided we really liked the Music more than anything else we saw. The only one that came close was POFQ, but it didn't jump out and grab us, so I guess it will be back to the Music when the time comes.
Resorts toured: Animal Kingdom Lodge, Polynesian, POFQ and Wilderness Lodge.

Thanks so much for the great review of Music! DH and I were scheduled to be there next month, but I upped us to POFQ for less than $100 with the codes. I'm thinking that ASMU will be great for us when we go back with the kids.

I didn't know that they did movies, I LOVE that. I think the kids would think that's great too.

we love Music resort too ..... although I am an extreme girl at heart, so do love the Poly too ... different holiday styles so we go to whichever suits the pace of the holiday for that year.

Glad you enjoyed, can't wait to be there too.

Do you think Music is better than Pop? I have been considering changing to Music. I also saw the updated menu for Music food court and there were some different things added that I think we might like. In the UO Guide to the World it says that the All Stars are quieter than Pop. Did you have a preferred room at Music? Would you switch?

I can't comment on POP because we're staying there next month, but we've stayed at AS-Music 3 times and I can comment for you. We really liked AS-Music. The only thing we didn't like was the size. It seems to be the biggest of the values and you can end up pretty far away from the main bldg. Although DH and I are fit and love to walk and exercise, I could see how being in one of the furthest bldgs. for a longer vacation in the summer heat could wear on a person. For this reason, we prefer AS-Sports, which has never seemed like a long walk in the 3 stays we've had there, and now are trying POP because we heard great things about it, plus size/distance is not an issue. If you have POP booked, I would keep it and try it out! We're so excited to try it and I only keep hearing better things as I read reviews and PM POP lovers.

This year we're planning to stay at POP but we have stayed at POR in the past. We liked POR and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again but we wanted to try something different.

Do you think Music is better than Pop?
We haven't stayed at Pop, so I can't really say. We have stayed at Movies and we much preferred Music. This was our 3rd stay at Music if that gives any indication of how much we like it!

Did you have a preferred room at Music?
Yes, we had a preferred room. My parents were with us and we had ordered wheelchairs for them. They must have seen the order somehow (a delivery date or something) and gave my parents a handicapped room. It was great for them, even though they didn't really "need" it. We were on the first floor (I had requested third) but it turned out fine. We were right next to the pool, and while we did hear a little of the bass from the music, we just turned a fan on and it was muted out.

Would you switch?
Not having stayed at Pop, I can't advise you on that. Sorry.

I know! I fully expected to fall in love with the Poly (it's been my dream to stay there for our anniversary) but it just didn't do anything for me I was shocked!
