Just back from All Star Movies and...

I am planning VERY budget conscious trip Dec 06 just for me and DD...she will be 8 1/2 then. I see alot of posts that preschool age children will love this resort. While she has kinda outgrown Dalmations and Toy Story--she is a HUGE Mickey fan and we were planning on staying in Fantasia 5 (non smoking).

Any opinions on whether she'll like it? It will be our 3rd visit but first time on property....I would have loved to stay at the Cont and hop on the monorail every morning, but just not possible. So I told DD we would have to ride the buses--and her sweet response "Buses are just as fun, mom!" I guess when you're 8, and you're going to MK, it doesn't matter how you get there! Now I'm actually looking forward to catching the buses too!

I think ASMO would fun  :goodvibes :Pinkbounc for any age. We haven't been to ASMO yet. My DH and I would be just as excited as our DS
I know some adult Disers who have posted say that ASMO is their favorite.

Have fun in Dec. :earboy2:

How am I ever going to wait for 7 more months when you guys keep getting me so excited?? We're going in May and I can't take it!!

Anyone used the busses lately? How long was the waiting/rides, specifically to MK? We are thinking of staying at ASMovies next time we go. Our first trip was this month and we stayed at Contemporary for the convenience with our 2 y/o DD. Yes that convenience was wonderful but the price wasn't. After pricing ASMo I don't know that I can go back to pricing a monorail resort. I am worried about the bus rides taking forever. Also is there any kind of a lake/beach area here? DD loved playing in the sand and chasing ducks at CR. We also loved having Chef Mickey's right there.....but geez, they make you pay for it! Aaahhh! Can't..make...a....decision.....

My DS will be 18 and DD 16 next summer and they still love the ASMo :cheer2: We've worked our way through all the Value resorts as they were built and happily settled into the ASMo for the long haul. We love it and will see you all there June/July 2006 :cool1: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:
