Hi All-
Well we are back boo hoo. We left Ct in the snow so we were happy to finally reach the Fla sunshine.

Here is my take on this trip--keep in mind we have stayed at AKL before.

All rooms have the fridges installed

All hotels and parks are decorated for the holidays

IT was VERY VERY busy-- compared to 2 years ago same week-- longest wait was 20 minutes which I know is good but last time we were really spoiled

Magic Kingdom was jammed for stitch ride-- didnt want to wait the 65 minutes (there were no more fast passess available)

DD11 got to meet Raven Simone- she was there promoting her new cd (signings)and was doing concerts at MGM--that was cool

Loved Whispering Canyon at WL for dinner-- it was so fun

I surprised DH with the rookie experience at Richard Petty--he was shocked, floored etc.. He still cant stop talking about it

Any questions???

It sounds like you had a great time.

Thanks for the info on the refridgerators, I've been wondering if they were there yet.

My husband (married a la disney on November 9th) and I were also at the Animal Kingdom during this time, we had a fantastic time but I too have to add how surprised we were at just how busy both AKL and Disney as a whole was during what is supposed to be a quieter period, we were advised that AKL was booked 102% when we arrived as we were trying to sercure a room upgrade, all of the parks were heaving which surprised me a little as here in the UK we were told that November was low season. Again I must stress however we had a totally brilliant time, I would be interested however if anyone can tell me when exactly now is the quietest time to go

I must finally say however that the AKL especially when the decorations arrived for christmas looked fantastic

Was there a coffee maker in your room? I've read in some threads that fridges and coffee makers are being put in all rooms, and I was wondering if that was true, or just wishful thinking. :D

Thanks,
Morticia.

Just so you know...ypu can request a coffee maker from Housekeeping!

I am going to post my trip report in just a moment, but I must agree, it was waaaaay busier than I thought it would be! We were told booked to 99%!!!!

My husband and I were also at AKL 11/15-11/17 we then moved over to YC11/17-11/22
We had a very different experience with crowds. We thought it was great until Saturday. We went to MK the day Stich opened. We went to Buzz lightyear first... walked on. Then went to Space Mountain... walked on... then we went to get a fast pass for Stich and got one. ( I thought stich was ok but nothing great. My husband liked it though) Every ride we went on we walked on or had a 5 min wait. We ate at Pecos Bill for lunch and only two people in front of us to order. We went to CP for dinner and there were empty tables. ( well We ate at 4 pm... bt we were there until after 5)
We stayed for fireworks and got a great place over near tomorrowland.
We then went to EPCOT the next day and had no crowds there also. Went to World showcase that night and although quite a few people did not feel crowded at all. NOW..... It did start to get busy for us on Saturday!! Saturday and Sunday we thought were quite crowded. Also our resort felt more crowded.

We were inthe Zebra trail room 2595--next to last one

very long walk but soooo worth it. we ordered a pot of coffee from room service every morning at 6 and sat on the deck with dh to enjoy the views w/o kids. best part of the trip

A lot of rides were walk ons and no more than 20 minute waits for some, but compared to other years trip at same time - it was packed. I read that a couple of conventions were going on.
we have been spoiled the past few years, being able to stay on rides multiple times without getting off of them. AK was jammed on friday, you couldnt move
