Hi Everyone!

I just returned home on Tuesday from a wonderful trip to the World. We were there from Dec. 6 - Dec. 16. There were 7 of us including myself, my two boys (11 & 14), my mom, my SIL, my nephew (14) and my niece (4).

Everything was great! I think my highlights would be wishes - a definite must see, meeting the Beast for the first time, the living statues in Italy - I saw them twice and they were awesome, and just being in Disney - the greatest feeling of all.

It was a little chilly. During mid day you could wear shorts and tees, but at night you definately needed sweatshirts! We only had one day of downpouring rain so that wasn't too bad.

Crowds were a little heavier than expected, but manageable. We did use fast pass a couple of times for Rockin Roller Coaster, Test Track, and Space Mountain.

Restaurants - well that will be a whole new thread on the restaurants board when I get to it - we sure did eat a lot!

All in all, we had an awesome time! I am so sad being back home and having those "Disney Withdrawals". I guess it's time to start thinking about when my next trip will be!

If you have any questions........ask away!

Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great trip. I was there 11/28 through 12/8 and I agree that the crowds were a little heavier than the past two years.

I am so glad you had a great trip!!! We are scheduled to leave next week. We have two medically fragile children. What are your thoughts on the sickness there as far as the flu outbreak?

We got back last night and I thought the parks were pretty crowded too. Not unmanagable, but crowded. 30 minute waits for the more popular attractions. As far as cold/flu type stuff...I have to say that my own dd got sick while we were there. She's still coughing. Had a fever and bad stomach-ache. Said her legs hurt and she was really tired. Now I'm wondering if maybe she got a really light case of the flu. Better now, but still tired out. I did notice a lot of runny noses (let's not ask why I noticed them!!), hacking coughs. I know that my dd was worse on the monorail, buses and then on the plane.
We're trying to decide if we want to go back next August, late Nov/early Dec or the third week in Dec. The chilly air and illnesses out there kind of make you want to put up with the heat and humidity!!

I heard that there was a stomach virus going around at All Star Music, but I didn't see anyone that was sick. I was at the All Str Movies and tried to stay away from anyone that coughed or sneezed!

We were there Dec 6-11 - had to leave early because I was so sick with the flu. I was afraid my DH would come down with it so we left before he had time to get sick. He did come down with it within 24 hours of our arrival back home, so it was the right choice.

My DH and DD went to MK via the bus on my second sick morning and out of the 15 or so peole on the bus, 3 other families had left sick family members back at the hotel. I do believe the flu is really hitting WDW hard. It is really awful to be sick on vacation!

I will think twice about going in December again. The crowds were more than I expected and the number of sick people were unbeliveable.

that really stinks!! I am so sorry for those who were sick on vacation. When we were there in Oct. my DD (5) got a bad earache the first night and the following day. It was stressful trying to decide what to do. Luckily we guessed right and it was probably due to the plane and the altitude and by afternoon she was better, but that first night and the following morning were not as "magical" as the rest of the trip.

I hope everyone is better for their next trip!!:D
