Just back from a week at the World! Any questions?

Hey guys. Sad to say, we just got home from our week trip to WDW. I am already in withdrawal! I will be quite a while getting my trip report up so I figured I would start a thread for questions. We were in the parks for 6 1/2 days. (Saturday afternoon 9/23 through Friday night 9/29) The crowds weren't bad at all. The weather was great! It only rained one day and we were in a show when it hit so we missed the heavy stuff. The love bugs weren't bad either. Sure, they were heavier in some spots, but they weren't a problem.

Oh, BTW, I met another DISer. She noticed my lime green Mickey head and said hello! Hollie Poppins!!!!! It was great to meet her!

Welcome back!! Did you notice if the crowds started to increase as you got closer to the F&W Festival? I'm going to try to squeeze in a trip either end of Sept or early Oct next year. Any advise is appreciated! Please post a link once your trip report is finished! Thanks!!

We just got back last night. We noticed a considerable difference when the FAW festival started. The crowds were so great during the week, we walked on to everything. When Friday hit, the crowds were quite a bit larger. We had 40 minute waits on the bigger rides. It was like night and day. I would go before October if you can.

Thanks! I think I'll try to go a few days before the F&W and try to stick around for at least one day of the festival itself. I've never been to it and would love to try it!!

I completely agree with disneyigr. The crowds did pick up at the end of the week. We had really low crowds through Wednesday night. I noticed the difference in crowd level started on Thursday. F&W started on Friday.

ETA: Space Mountain had a 5 minute wait at 3:30 on Monday, 9/24!!!!! We were able to ride it two times in a row with really no wait! Buzz was walk on with no wait also! I was amazed!!!!

Crowds definitely got bigger towards the end of the week. The wait time for Soarin in the middle of the day on Tuesday was only 20 minutes. Saturday afternoon the wait was 80 minutes and they were out of Fastpasses for the day. We were really spoiled at the beginning of the week last week!

We saw the wait time at Splash Mountain hit 90 minutes while we were there and for the first time in my experience, the fastpass line took 20mins!!

Yes, that is so true! DH said that if we do September again next year we will do the week before our week. (so the third week of September instead of the fourth) The first few days were sooooo great! I was amazed!
