Just back from a week at the Poly - we loved it!

Hi, I'm so glad you had such a great trip! We're going next August 1-10th and I was wondering about your park touring. Could you give me an idea of what parks you did, etc. We're staying at Beach Club. My daughters fell in love with the pool in 05, so they really wanted to stay there again. Thanks!

Sure. We did one morning each at MGM, AK, and EPCOT. Two mornings at MK, and one morning at Islands of Adventure.

We'd normally be back at the Poly by 1-2 (3 at the latest) and take a break/swim. Then we'd go back for dinner and a few rides and be back again by 8 or so.

We see no reason to be at the parks in the middle of the day, and we know that we can get more done between park open and 11 am then people can from 11 am to 5 pm.

It's just the plan that works for us, with our son being 8. But to be honest, we need the break as much as he does!

Hope that helps. Happy to answer more specific questions if you have them too.

Did you use Tour Guide Mike? I signed up for that service in iteneriary planning. How were the temps? I'm going next summer with my daughters who will be 12 then and my best friend and her little boy who will be 10. I think the breaks are a good idea especially in the August heat. We live in Texas so we're used to heat & humidity in the Austin area.

Do you recall if there were complimentary shampoos and conditioners in the room? Packing with 2 little ones under age 3 I like to leave out what ever I can!
Thanks and great trip report. We are staying MK view and now I wish we had booked LVC! I should have listened to tikiguy.

I did use TGM. It was a lot more useful on my first trip, as now I really feel like I've got a good hang on things. But its so cheap that I think it's worthwil reading.

It was 100 each day... the hotest of our three trips... all which were the first week in August. But 90 and humid and 100 and humid aren't that different. Both are HOT. Just stay out of the parks midday.

Shampoos, conditioners and body wash. A hair dryer too. That's all I remember.

I paid for the service and I'm going to use it for planning our days. I've been on the site several times--there are SO many articles, links etc that it seems a bit overwhelming. Luckily I have plenty of time to prepare--11 months. Did you have you days planned--what parks to go to and then made your ADR's. You can make dining reservations 180 days out, does TGM have the park iteneriary and express planners available 180 days in advance? I want to make my dining reservations based on what parks I will be in that evening. Thanks for answering all my Q's :goodvibes

I'm so excited about my upcoming stay at the Poly concierge in December after reading your report! I have stayed there once before years ago and loved it. Did you have garden or magic kingdom view?

Thanks for the report!:cool1:

MK view, Room 3501. I think it was worth it for that view. Watched Wishes from the balcony, and just left the curtains opened all night and watched the castle change color. It was wonderful.
