This is an awesome resort. My girls are 9 and they loved Stormalong Bay. Our room was great w/a full balcony on the second floor with easy access to lobby and transportation. I can't say enough good things about the resort. I'd be happy to answer any Q's.

We're going to the Beach Club - 7/2-7/9. How did you like the new rooms..they have been renovated since we stayed there last. Was there a refrigerator in the room? Any construction going on anywhere?

Do you remember what time SAB was open until each night? It has varied from day to day lately.

Thanks,

Glad to hear you loved the Beach Club. DH and I are considering this resort for a future trip. Thanks for your post. I'll subscribe to this thread so I can get more information! Other DISers seem to know just the right questions to ask! :disrocks:

Thanks for the info. We are staying at BC for the first time in July. What type of room did you book? (we have a standard booked). Did you request a full balconey? We are thinking of the ground floor, but not sure if that is possible with a standard. Can kids have "noodles" in SAB? We are taking our 11 year old grandson, so this seems like a perfect pool for him.

I know you were asking someone else...but I booked a standard room, got upgraded to a waterview...not to far from the quite pool. I did request full balconey. from my photos it looks like the fulls are on the 2nd and 4th floor rooms,. as for the noodles, I do know there were some there. I thought you could buy them there...in the marketplace there seem to be some confusion about this. I guess a new girl was at the pool and was to sell them there....humm.

Thanks for answering my questions! I hesitated to make any preferences on my standard room ressie, because in the past I almost always get upgraded whenever I make no preferences....being flexible always helps. But, last December we were at the BWI and had a room with a tiny balconey.

I did not stay there but walked by the pool to go to Beaches N Cream. There was a sign that said the pool closed at 8 (if that did not already get answered)

Nice pictures, Disneyworld! Thanks for sharing them! :flower:

Can you get your mugs refilled at the new Marketplace?
yes, they sell them right in front of the register!

:cloud9: :goodvibes Sounds like you had a great trip! Our family will be at the BC July 7-14. I was wondering if the frig has a freezer? Big enough for an ice pack or two? Thanks!

Awesome Resort. Highly recommend. We had a standard view room. I asked for a full balcony and got one on the second floor with a view of a nice courtyard--room 2610. Easy access to lobby--down the hall and down the stairs. Stormalong Bay is awesome--my 9 year old twin girls loved the sand bottom pool and waterslide. A great place to relax after being in the parks. We had the character breakfast at Cape May and the buffet dinner. Both were very good.

Any questions, I'll be happy to answer.

Any tips to offer for a first time BC visitor? Our family will be there July 7-14 and I'd welcome any suggestions you might have! Three kids ages 11, 15 and 17 traveling with us. I thought the mouseboats might be fun! I look forward to your thoughts. Thanks! :hourglass :teeth:

Sometimes SAB closed at 8, other days 10pm. We were never there past 8. There is some construction in Cape May Cafe, but that's all I saw. I saw lots of kids with noodles in the pool. You can also rent a tube for 10/day or 6/hour. We had a standard view room and requested a full balcony, we checked very early in the morning (we arrived the night before and stayed at POP) and our room was ready. Our view was facing the one of the courtyards in the front, actually along a walkway to the eating area in front of the Market Place. The bus service to AK/MK was fine. WE never waited very long for a bus and we always got on the bus, although a few times we had to stand up. Walking distance to Epcot is very short, don't try to walk to MGM--long walk and very hot, take the boat instead.

We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Your kids will love SAB, they are the perfect age to have fun with the slide. We loved the walking distance to Epcot, although I think my kids might have preferred being w/in walking distance to MK. We ate at Beaches & Cream 2 times--my kids loved the ice cream there and if you're on the meal plan, you get a dessert with your meal and you could get any ice cream creation on the menu, with the exception of the Kitchen Sink, which is something to see. Definitely do the Cape May character breakfast and the evening buffet is good for a night that you want a good meal with veggies, fruit, etc. We did the character breakfast the morning that we left which seemed a good way to say goodbye.

We were there for 7 full days and still felt we missed several things, there is so much to see and do. This was our first trip and now I definitely want to go back again. Have you ever been at Christmas?
