We just got back late last night after having spent 5 days at HIFS and 2 nights and the CR. This was supposed to be a quick 5 day trip with only 1 day at Magic Kingdom and doing off-site stuff while at HIFS, but we ended up having car trouble which grounded us for a couple of days! The CR was great! We stayed there though SOG and it was nicer than I thought it would be. We love the WL and always thought the CR was too cold looking, but we really enjoyed our stay- it was just too short. The room was the biggest we've stayed in at disney and it was very nice. I thought the North Garden Wing was convenient and would stay there again in an instant. I would NEVER go back in July again though. It was hot and crowded. We always go in Jan. and I will stick to that time of year from now on! I'll be happy to answer any questions if anybody has any. Gotta go get to that post vacation laundry now though!

Welcome back! I, too, really enjoyed my CR stay. I am debating adding on two nights in that resort to my upcoming reservation. This time I will go for a garden wing room (last time I was in a Tower Club room) since I literally won't be spending any time in that resort except for crashing my weary head on my pillow. Can you recommend one wing over the other to me, as I really don't know anything about the wing rooms. Also, if you have photos from your trip, I would love to see them -- please post the link to them here.

We were in the North Garden wing and I think that is probably the most convenient. You go out one entrance and you are right at the Food and Fun Center, another entrance and you can walk to the MK. We had connecting rooms and a nice view of the lake. I think that for the price difference between the tower and the garden wings there isn't that much of a difference in convenience. My husband wasn't with us on this trip and now I have an excuse to go back to the CR again, just to show him how nice it was!

LoveTheMouse, thanks for the info. You brought up a good point -- when I make my reservation, I will ask for a room that is close to the Tower (convenience sounds good to me!).
