The week flew by so fast. We had one bad day of weather :umbrella: on our first day at sea but with all the activities we were never bored. The tendering in from Grand Caymans was eventful though I saw plenty of reasons to cruise Disney and not other cruise lines when things got a bit unexpected. We were stuck on the pier for several hours and we got water and soda and snacks, other cruise lines got small cups of water. Castaway Cay couldn't have been better, the sun was shining and snorkeling was great. It is my anniversary :love2: today and my son got the cookbook and is making my DH and myself dinner from recipes we had while on the ship. If you are going anytime soon ask for Jennifer as a server, she was fabulous. It was a first week as server and she kept the kids entertained with magic tricks. :wizard: I will post a trip report when soon, just wanted everyone to know it was a great week on the Magic. :cool1: Also, met two other DIS families and had a great time with them.

Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!! Miss you guys!! Let us know how the food turns out!!

Glad to hear you had a magical week.. ALso VERY glad to hear how you went with the flow, one bad day is not too bad, especially at the beginning, let it go, and then good ones come... :cool1:

Happy Anniversary..

Sounds like a great trip. I'm so impressed that your son is making dinner with recipes from the ship! Sounds like a fun way to relive some of the magic.

Happy Anniversary!

Dinner was great! :teeth:

E&Bmom, we miss bumping into you at all the different activities. :sad2:

We miss everyone soooooo much. Now, back to reality--I went to the grocery store and paused for a moment and thought " wait a minute, which deck am I on ?" Ha --dazed and confused and still rolling a little from being at sea!
Poohluver---thanks for the last pictue on your card!

Oh, I'm so sad that I didn't get to meet you guys! My biggest word of advice to anyone planning a cruise:

ARRIVE THE DAY BEFORE!

My dh insisted that we didn't need to do that. We were flying Southwest, have had great experience with them being on time, we were getting on the first flight out, the plane would already be at the gate in the morning, blah, blah, blah.

Well, we had a plane, but no crew. They flew in another pilot, we backed away from the gate about 2 hours late, then returned to the gate due to a ground stop in Orlando becasue of bad weather.

We eventually arrived at the terminal and got on the ship about 3:30pm, not 10:30 am, as we had planned. All in all, it was okay, just a needlessly stressful and frustrating start to the trip, and we missed our chance to meet our DIS buddies.

So, I repeat ... if you take no other advice away from this board ... heed this! Fly in the day before! :earseek:

We always arrive the day before....We had problems on Fri and were glad we had till the next day. We were late and then since there was lightening they wouldn't take the luggage off the plane for 1 1/2 hrs. So we sat at the baggage claim just waiting. It is a great piece of advice for people though!!!! :flower:

You never know what can happen while flying......DEFINITELY FLY IN THE DAY BEFORE!!
