My husband and I had a couple's getaway at Disney World this past weekend and stayed at POFQ for the first time. We drove down, arrived around 3:30 and only waited about 10 minutes before we were able to check in. I verified with the CM that we were getting a king room (which is what I'd booked) and he also saw on the reservation that it was our anniversary, so he gave us the Mickey/Minnie anniversary pins to wear. Our room was #2223, a courtyard view, but just down the walkway was the river. It was a corner room so we had 2 windows, and it was a regular room with a tub, not HA. The stairs were right outside the corner window, very convenient, but we did not hear any noise at all the whole weekend - not from the walkways, our neighbors or people above us. It was very quiet. It was a fairly quick walk over to the food court and we ate there all 3 mornings. Our room was kept very clean and when we got to the room the first time, the mousekeeper had left us 2 love-bird towel creations. So cute! It was the first time we'd had any towel animals. I would say the only thing that we found fault with was that the area around our building 2 and the fountain between bldg 2 and 3 always smelled bad, like dog poop. We didn't notice that odor anywhere else in the complex, just in that area, but it was all times of the day and night. I don't know if there's some kind of stinky bush or if they'd used mulch recently or what, but it was not pleasant.

We did not use the pool but did walk around it and it looked like fun for our 5-yo. We took the water taxi to and from DownTown Disney Sunday night and it was a nice trip.

We did not have any bus issues while we were there. When we arrived at the bus stop each time, we only waited maybe 10 minutes for the bus we wanted. Most times we did go to Riverside and pick up passengers there too but it did not take very long. We were pleased with the transit time to all the parks. The longest we waited for a return bus was Sunday night from DHS after Fantasmic - the line was pretty long and we waited for a bus which got filled up, then had to wait a while longer for another bus, which we did get on.

Here are a couple of pictures of our room:

Our next trip is the bounceback free dining in Aug/Sept, booked at CSR.

Thanks for the pics. My whole family (extended) is staying there this May. If you don't mind me asking and showing my ignorance what does HA stand for? :confused3 I have two small kids and we must have a tub or they won't be clean for the 8 days we are there.

HA = Handicapped accessible which means they have roll in showers rather than tubs.

We are staying at POFQ for 14 nights arriving 19th March.

I just hope the pool is open by then.
