We really enjoyed our stay at the Polynesian from September 10-16th. We took Disneys Magical Express the morning of our arrival and this service was wonderful, easy and very convenient. Our bus only had my family and two other people on it. When we arrived at the hotel (around 9:30 a.m.) they had a room ready that we could use. Our luggage arrived a couple of hours after we did. We stayed in Tokelau room 3903 and loved this location. It is next to one of the swimming pools (not the volcano pool) and my boys actually preferred this pool over the themed pool. This may be because they are young and this pool is quieter. In addition Tokelau is a very short walk to the bus stop and is also near the TTC for a quick monorail ride to Epcot. We would request to stay in this building again. The garden view rooms here are really great. Our housekeeper, Clara Brown, was truly wonderful on our stay. Upon our arrival our bathroom had a sticky floor and she came right away to fix this. She was very kind and left us towel animals every day. She truly helped make our stay magical.

The location of this hotel cant be beat. You can take the monorail to both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Bus service was ok while we were there, but next time we may consider renting a car to have easier access to the other parks. However, if you dont rent a car youll be just fine.
We found the rooms to be very spacious and lovely. There is plenty of lighting and the lights around the beds can be dimmed. There is a lot of closet and drawer space, and the rooms can easily sleep 5 people plus someone under three in a crib. I actually slept on the daybed one night because my four year old had pushed me out of bed and I found this bed to also be very comfortable. The flat screen TVs are a nice touch. The toiletries the hotel provides are very good quality and the bath towels are very nice and plush. The rooms are a little noisy so you may want to consider bringing ear plugs if you can wear them. As you can imagine, people come and go at all hours at this hotel. The air conditioning worked great and the ceiling fan was also a welcome touch.
We ate breakfast at the Kona Café and liked our meal, with the exception of the potatoes. We also ate at Captain Cooks and found the food there to be fine. It seemed like they could have used one more cashier to move people through the line, but once your order was payed for the food came quickly. We considered buying the resort mugs, but we thought they were pretty small and we passed.
The grounds are lovely and well cared for and the Great Ceremonial House is beautiful. We especially enjoyed sitting on the beach and watching the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. The pools are beautiful and heated and they provide life jackets for the length of your stay which was a great convenience. Be advised that you cannot take your younger children on the water slide on your lap. I was a little disappointed that they didnt have a smaller slide for little ones, but that is a minor complaint. Even though it was very hot while we were there the pools werent overly crowded.
This is a great resort and we cant wait to go back next year! We decided to take advantage of the bounce back promotion for free dining again next year.
