Hi everyone! Our group of 15 just returned this weekend and had an incredible time. Our family unit booked the Western 7 day for Jan 18th 2003 while on board.

the on board rate was $1,249 / adult $399/child
for cat 6 deluxe room with verandah. (we actually booked exact same room we loved the location so much)

One perk to on board booking was the $150 stateroom credit.

Question: Can we request this be transfered to travel agent? (DU is who we have in mind)

Question: Anyone out there have any other specials they know about for western 7 day?

Thanks and we'll get our trip report done this week!!!!!!!!!

Hi Adria, and welcome back! :) Sounds like you all had a MARVELOUS time!

You got a great rate for your cruise, and yes, you can transfer it to Dreams and get a rebate on top of that. :) For details write to webmaster@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com .

Looking forward to the trip report! :)

I'm assuming when u book on board you have to give them the $200 per person deposit and after you do that you can still give the ressie to a TA? Or DU in this case, and still get the rebate and /or room credit.

Yes, Mjasp, in fact you CAN'T transfer a reservation made through DCL unless you have paid the deposit first. Reservations made on the ship can definitely be transferred.

If the rate is as before with the onboard offer, the rate on the sheet did NOT include government taxes and fees. I don't know if barnsquad included them in her pricing, but the rate on the sheet does not have those included in.

Just for comparison purposes, the onboard booking offer I got last October for a Category 6 (for a 12/02 sailing) was $1179 per adult and $349 for children ages 3-12 (not including government taxes and fees). If barnsquad's prices do not include government taxes and fees it looks like the onboard booking rates have gone up a bit.

We also booked onboard and overheard quite a few other people say they had too. We'll be going on the 02-01-03 Western. Adria what room were you in? We were in 6542. Sorry our paths didn't cross while onboard, but glad a good time was had by all.

Hi Michelle,
I made my ressies thru DCL and then went to TA and gave my deposit to TA.
If u book on board and then get home and find a lower price can TA get it reduced? Like what if they decide to do FF or STM again, even though they say it will only be early booking savings, you never know. Or what if TA or DU in this case offers a rebate and/or shipboard credit will u still get it since it will be a transferred ressie? Does anyone know at which point the prices start to rise for early booking savings is it 12 months 6 mos. 1 month increments etc. One post so many questions packed in.

Michele, Do u work for DU? Does Robin?

Barnsquad, How was seating in dining room with 15? Going with 14 and we are all linked so I'm hoping for one large table.

Hi CKAy!! Bummer our paths did not cross. Our cabin was 6560 and we loved it! I found that area of deck 6 very convenient to quickly get to everything.

Question regarding tables in DR: we had 15 people and we second seating tables #5, & #6 . At first I was a little stressed that is wasn't same table number for our whole group. Went to matr'd first afternoon and he assured me they could bring tables together. Our server were Silvio & Navneet and they simply blew our group away with attention to detail , keeping kids happy, and feeding my husband who eats two meals, three apps usually!!!! (too make it worse he is a skinny landscaper! LOL)

Question regarding prices quoted on board booking: the sheet advertizing the on board prices for 7 day magic western carib It indicates at base of page that govt taxes & fees are not included.
*I'm planning on transfering this reseveration to DU ASAP

Promise to get the trip report done by this weekend with all the juicy details of trip. (especially the part about me and DH getting locked out on verandah at 12:30am!!!)

Hey barnsquad, you booked again? we are itching to do so also, but ca't figure out when, you got a great price. I'm sure Kim will want to speak to you about this.
