Just back from 7/6 Western and Dolphin!

Just returned home from the greatest 7/6 Western Cruise and 7 wonderful nights at Dolphin hotel. Had secret porthole room 5020 (the best location!). E'mailed Dolphin ahead of time with room request of EPCOT view, balcony and that is exactly what we had waiting! Will post trip reports in next couple of days, laundry and getting settled back in to the real world needs to come first! If anyone has specific questions I would be happy to answer.

We're booked on the 8/3 Western and can't wait to go. Anything you want to share would be great. Although it's not our first DCL cruise (Eastern 8/2000), you learn new things with each post.

Hopkins -

We didn't do any of the DCL excursions except for the banana boat ride -which was great. In Key West it is very easy to do the Conch Train or Trolley on your own. Our plan was to do the Conch Train, but it was so hot in Key West that after walking around for an hour or so in the shops we all decided we really would rather be back on the ship enjoying the pool.

We did the beach on our own by taxi in both Grand Cayman and Cozumel - both worked out great with no problems. Others we spoke with felt that the DCL beach tours did not allow enough time and were expensive.

The one tour I wish we would have done was the Sting Ray tour, people were really giving that high marks at dinner that evening and it seemed the storkling tours were getting good reviews too.
