Just got back this afternoon from 6/ Magic 7day Eastern. This was our 1st cruise, it was a wonderful experience. Had 2 cat.11 cabins for a family of 6, worked out great. Service was superb, even w/a full ship, someone was always trying to help you out. Got Palo reserv., spa and flounder reserv. for every time I requested.
Thanks to all for all the great advice, so many tidbits came in handy, like over door organizer, packing sodas, softcooler, when to arrive at Port and areas to see on self-guided excursions. You helped me save alot of $ and the charges do add up fast.

If I can help w/info for anyone else please reply.
Thanks again, so very happy w/our cruise.:D

Please let me know about your self guide excursions??? We are on a very tight budget.:( So we need to know where we can save. We have an 8yr old and a 4yr old:D

Thanks Anne

Glad to hear you had a great time! We would like to hear about the self guide excursions also. We are thinking about doing the butterfly farm in St. Maartne and coral world/coki beach in St. Thomas. Did you do either of these? Any info would be great.

Thanks for posting. We leave on the next eastern June 15th.
What movies were showing?
What was the show on Tuesday? We are trying to figure out a Palo dinner time. When did you go?
Which show did you like the least?
What time did you arrive at the terminal?
How did customs go? Morning of St. Thomas did you have to go down early?

I am getting nervous and excited about the cruise. Can you tell by all my questions? :)
Thanks

We just got off 1 June Magic also. Everyone had a terrific time, and we're trying to figure out when we can go again.
We went to Coki Beach on St Thomas, got taxi ride for $7/ea one way. Snorkel equipment was available to rent, amazing numbers of fish there. My DS, 12, took an underwater camera along and we took pictures of him feeding the fish. The place where we rented snorkle equipment gave you big dog biscuits to feed the fish, what a great time!!
Also DS says to say hello to Beth, one of the people that wait on you at the beach - you guys will ALL think she's great , plus she makes the BEST drinks, delivered in the water if you want!!

We thoght St Thomas was much better then St Martin, but the colorful clothes on St Martin were great for tropical night.

Everything about the ship was just like these boards have been saying - THE BEST!!

Loved this cruise.

We did shopping at St.Maarten and Dawn beach. Kids loved the water.

We did less shopping at St.Thomas, kids antsy. Even though it started as a rainy day, turned out great and went to Coki beach, very interesting ride, but I was prepared by this forum. Kids loved feeding the fish, rented snorkeling equpmt really cheap $5 and 2 DDs got hair braided, there was an argument between the ladies offering the service so we got both girls, whole heads for $55, (I think this is much cheaper than ship and I made sure it was clean). Took a while so got to talk to some of these folks and it was really nice. DH loved $1 beers.

The most expensive parts of the excursions for us, family of 6 was the transportation. Really turned out quite reasonable and no one was bored.

Formal night, DH and I were at Palos, semi-formal we ate at Lumieres. I saw all sorts of attire, some tux, mostly suits or dinner jackets. I felt quite comfortable in short black dress but I think you could go as formal as you wanted.

Movies I remember were Monsters,Inc.. Harry Potter, Rookie, Return to Neverland, Tomb Raider, maybe more

My favorite show was Hercules, shown early in the week. I saw Island Magic- good for little ones, kids liked Morty, I liked Disney Dreams, but missed Farewell Show, rest of family liked.
