Just got back on Saturday and it was a GREAT trip. It rained on Sunday when we arrived, and was cold, but it got warmer throughout the week. Friday it was 80 degrees! The only rides that were closed were Tiki Room and of course, Space Mountain. It was our first time at DCA and we really enjoyed it. It reminded us a lot of Disney Studios at WDW. We did the princess breakfast at Plaza Inn (DL) and saw Aurora, Snow White, Belle, Beast, Aladdin, Jasmine, Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, Mary Poppins and Mulan. The girls all got a gold paper crown to wear. We did not get very good service here, but still it was fun. We also did the character luch at Ariel's Grotto (DCA). No, Ariel is not there any more. The characters were MIckey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale and Stitch. This lunch was so much fun! They not only came around to the tables, the took the kids outside and did conga line, chicken dance, limbo, etc. It was a lot of fun. Any questions, please ask!

Edited to add: we stayed at Candy Cane Inn and LOVED it. We got a premium room and loved the free room service for breakfast each morning. We also liked having the VCR in our room, the microwave, and the free video rentals. We would gladly stay here again. The shuttles to and from the park were great, and we got really great treatment from the staff. We mentioned that we were celebrating my daughter's birthday and they sent a basket with a popcorn tub, some micriwave popcorn, some cookies, a card and a white rose in a vase. Nice!

Bonnie,
So glad you had a great trip! We don't seem to hear too much about CCI either, so am glad to get a big thumbs up for them :D Our weather has been absolutely nuts, going from 50's and rainy to 80 and breezy with everything inbetween within the same week - this has been the case 3 weeks in a row - good grief

Glad you enjoyed DCA, it gets such a bum rap, but we love the park, too - (see our photo below...). It is not DL, but does not pretend to be. It has a few stellar rides (Soarin', Aladdin, Screamin', ToT). Thanks for the trip report, I always love reading about others vacations.

We just got back last night from 5 days at DL/DCA and 2 days at Legoland. Had a great time! Plan on doing a mini-trip report and review of Residence Inn Anaheim in a few days.
