I just returned last night from 4 wonderful nights at Poly. We arrived at the resort around 8 pm on Wed. night. We had requested Samoa, but were put in Tokelua. Not a big deal. We liked our location, especially since the the bus stop was a two minute walk from our room. We also walked one day to the TTC to catch the monarail to Epcot. It really was an easy 5-6 minute walk from our room.

The new Captain Cook's is great, but can get busy at peak meal times. We did a few lunches there and one dinner. One morning I went to refill my mug and it WAS PACKED!! The food is good there, however I would like to see a few more things on the menu. My friend who was with me (and has been to the Poly about 8 times) said they used to have a little more of a selection of sandwiches and wraps in the grab and go cooler.

Our housekeeping was okay. The first day we arrived, there were no tolietries in the bathroom :confused3 . We did not receive any towel animals.

Check-in and check out were no problem and all the staff we encountered were very nice. On Sat. it rained for a little bit and our daughters did the mask painting in the lobby. Cute, but I'm not sure that little piece of wood is worth $15.

Just my observations. Overall, the resort was great to be at!!

Thanks for the positive review and I'm glad you had a great time!!! Tokelua is the longhouse we plan to request for our July trip, so I'm glad to hear to was convenient...:goodvibes

We stayed in Tokelau when we were there in Aug. (15-24). We requested 3rd floor, away from elevators and ice machines, and got room 3923, which was perfect ! We only received towel animals on 2 days, and my kids (DS 15, DD 19) were a little disappointed. Our last 2 trips before that were to the WL, each for 10 days, and we were spoiled cuz we had animals every day ! I guess if that's the only thing that we have to complain about (and it was !), we had a great trip !! Have fun !! :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great trip.

Glad to hear you had a wonderful stay! I'm so missing the Poly since my stay there in August...

I'm glad to hear about your plesant stay at the Polynesian! We stayed there for the first time last July and had an absolute blast!

I agree with you about Captain Cook's. They need to have more selection for lunch and dinner! I know that crowds in the morning can't be helped, but more check-outs need to be opened! I'll stop my rant now...

Anyway, glad to hear your trip went well, and welcome back! :wizard:

Thanks for the reveiw. We are considering the Poly on our next stay. :)
