Just back from 1st FW trip. Wanna know what I think?

Just a thought, maybe one of you or a rotation of frequent campers could start a snack shack at their campers ;) Serve some Kungaloosh and Taylor ham :rotfl:

One more thing to add- not specific to the fort but definitely related-
we ordered groceries from WeGoShop.com. Marge was GREAT! She brought everything exactly as we ordered, and arrived exactly when she said she would. We will order from her again on our next trip, and I would recommend her to anyone who asks.

The only disappointment... I was misled ;) over on the "chit chat thread" where I was shown a picture of some delicious looking Taylor ham, and was told it could be found at Publix, but Marge looked for it, and asked about it, and they did not carry it.

You gotta watch those guys pushing the "Taylor ham" a very disreputable bunch indeed. :thumbsup2

It's not my fault Marge wouldn't drive to the Publix in Wesley Chapel. I would have created a big stink. When were you there? We had plenty in site 619.

FW had a counter service back in the 70’s& 80's it failed. Most people who campers bring their food. Disney found that people want fast food like pizza and hot dogs. So they started sell that type of food at the trading post. If you need a bagel just go to TE

I was just going to post the same thing as DisCamper. We were just talking the other night about the food counter they used to have at the Meadows. You could get quick stuff as well as Ice cream cones and sundaes. We used to enjoy it. My dad was upset when they took it out. He lilked to sneek over for ice cream all the time.

Soft Serve ice cream, fried chicken and some of the best baked beans ever(served hot or cold), the counter service did ok as a "deli" type place but not much else. I still miss it.
