Excellent! That makes 2 weeks in a row with great weather.

Isn't that funny, that's the same line she gave us the week prior! It was a perfect day!
Glad to you had a great cruise.

"The water was cold" -

Just how cold was it? We're cruising 2/21 and am wondering if I should cancel my snorkeling excursions on St. Thomas and St. Marten.

Can you help?

Lisa

We just returned from the same cruise!

We snorkelled in St. Thomas off of Buck Island. DH saw some sea turtles which made it totally worth it. Water was cool at first but not terrible.

Castaway Cay water was cold at first, but many, many were playing in it most of the day!

We even managed to get sunburns and swim in the Mickey pool daily..

The other one that won a cruise was an older woman who just seemed tickled that she won!

Oh, and one woman won the bingo jackpot of $6600 or so. I was all out of "bingo love" for her since I only needed 1 number to win it myself

Palo brunch and dinner were FANTASTIC! High tea was disappointing and I surely would skip it next time.

Golden Mickey's was really good. The kids would very much enjoy this show so keep that in mind. I missed taking mine and regret it.

Wish I was still on and not doing my eigth load of laundry!

We are on the 2/7 Magic and too are curious what is "cold" for the water at Castaway Cay?

Cotomom, we are also from So Calif, do you think the water was as cold as our ocean right now? Should we bring the kids' wetsuits which they would wear now to boogie board?

What do you think the water temperature was in St Thomas? Warmer or colder than Castaway Cay?

Thanks, glad to see you had a great time!

lotsofboys~
St. Thomas water was definitely warmer than Castaway Cay. So was air temp. Both places didn't require a wetsuit by my standards and I'm fairly wimpy

Definitely both places are warmer than the Pacific right now. I wouldn't dream of going in our h20 right now, but really didn't hesitate last week!

sorry I don't have exact water temps. I just know that in St. Thomas the sun was beating down on our faces, it felt warm, and the water had that "initial" refreshing feel, but after that, it was ok.

Have a great trip and HTH!

8 inches of snow in driveway

tough drive back

snorkling was good did the 5 star due to rough seas could not go to trunk bay beach - so they opened the bar on the boat ( liked that) the kids that ran the boat were great. - loved snorkling - did not think it was too cold at all

loved CC.

Did not love not having a Verandah. next time will get one - now I know.... Everyone is different and what matters to some is no big deal to others.......... but I really had a tough time the first few days...

anyway missed the meet and great we were supposed to have on deck 10 anyone go? I went up there but felt weird asking people " are you here from the internet" on only day 2 of the cruise ( by day 3-or 4 I was pretty comfortable and would have asked anyone just about anything - relaxed and happy hahaha)

Thanks everybody, those are exactly the answers I was looking for. Don't need to take up shoe space for wetsuits if it's not necessary

I brought my wetsuit on the January 3rd Western and was glad I had it Castaway Cay! :)
