Just back. Flynn trip 5/24-5/31 Day 1

We left cold and rainy NY and arrived in beautiful sunny Fl at around 1:00p.m. We picked up a wonderfully clean almost brand new minivan from Dollar rental and headed to our offsite resort. This was our 1st time staying offsite and I was a little worried. Let me tell you, the POLYNESIAN ISLES, is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed at. I booked it thru my entertainment book and condo rental bank and got it for a steal at $480.82 for the week. If anyone is looking for a great place, this is it!!!!!!. www.polynesianisle.com They let us check in early, then off the guys (my dh, fil, ds8,& ds5) headed to the pool while my mil and I went in search of grocery's. We then headed to Chef Mickey's at the Cont. for dinner. We had ps for 5:15 but we got in around 5:10. My dh & I had been here before and loved it and were a little surprised and dissapointed this time. The food was ok. not bad nor great. The desserts were very good. The character interaction was off, Minnie came over 1st then no one for the longest time then the rest of the charcters came one on top of the other. Ok if you've never been but not worth the $23.99A $10.99K price tag imho. We then went exploring the monorail resorts then back to our resort for a early nights rest.

We stayed at Polynesian Isles in January for a week, and really enjoyed it.

It took us about 5-10 minutes to get to the parks. It depended on which park. MK is the furthest to get too. It always took us longer to get home the 1st few times till we figured out the fastest way to get back.
