got back last night from a two night stay. thanks for all your advice.

had a great time - the weather wasn't great on sat and sunday was awful but yesterday was lovely and sunny.

the explorers hotel was fantastic - i couldn't fault it at all.

disneyland paris seemed to have pulled out all the stops for the 15th anniversary - the character meets were amazing. they made such an effort. we had dinner at cafe mickeys (not cheap but well worth it - so you don't have to worry about meeting the characters in the parks) and saw the characters do their dance at 4pm at the disneyland hotel (i think they keep this quiet as they don't want loads of people there who are not staying there)
we got lucky with pluto too - at 10:15pm (quite late for kids) he comes out into the lobby of new york new york hotel and does a great dance.

15 min wait on the sunday for crush - 25 minute wait on monday. very pleased with that - a cast member said that when it first opened back in june there was a 3 hour wait.

we got on pinochino (sp) and snow white within ten minutes. We fast passed peter pan - even without - 20 min wait. can't complain at all.

the only boo boo which i made was wanting to meet mickey near casey's as i love to meet the characters wearing different costumes - we ended up waiting an hour -my 17 year old brother was just about ready to kill me.
They spend so much longer with people during the meet and greets at disneyland paris than what they do in America.

I made sure i bought that picture of us with mickey in his red suit and red top hat - we waited long enough!

the parade is good - santa and the nutcracker soldiers put in an apperance.

yep - great break.

(there was a french bus drivers strike yest. - so hotels in the val de france area wasn't doing any transportation - we walked from explorers to the disneyland park - this took 25 mins.
a tip is walk to santa fe then get the bus to the train station or vice versa when you leave the parks - this saves about 15 minutes walking time)

Its sounds as though you had a great time:thumbsup2

Glad you had a great time too :thumbsup2 Really worried by the weather on Sunday when we arrived, but yesterday it was perfect, wasn't it :sunny:

Very impressed by the parade - the floats are even better in real life! Christmas lighting was, as usual, absolutely magical. :cloud9: Had another great meal in Walt's while the Fantillusion parade went passed. :goodvibes And I think that Salon Mickey is a great little shareholder perk, after visiting there for the first time yesterday! :thumbsup2

Rooms at the Santa Fe were fine - warm, comfortable and clean. I just don't like the set up with car parks surrounding the buildings - though I can see how it could be very handy for the people actually using cars! Having frequented the Sequoia Lodge bar a few times on just a two day trip, we definitely feel it has the most "user friendly" lounge area of any of the onsite hotels - attractive and spacious with plenty of places to sit, whether you want to partake of the bar offerings or not.

We were in the Explorers hotel at the same time as you :) The bus strikes are a pain, no one mentioned to us they were on strike, only found out when we overheard someone and even then we asked at check in if there would be buses on the Tuesday and they said yes and of course there wasnt. :(

Apart from that though it was fine and we just used the Santa Fe buses as well. It was bitterly cold on Monday evening, dont think i've ever been as numb. :D
