Hi guys,

Just got back (oct 17-21) and had a great time. No rain, but record high temps for Oct. I am from La., so the heat did not seem too bad. Stayed at Pop and it was fine but a littly noisy. Halloween party great. There seems to be cut backs. I wish I had gotten a price comparison, but at Prime Time cafe, the S'Mores are half the size they used to be. Let me try to post pictures. Here goes

The Food & Wine Festival was cool. Saw this little guy trying to cross the sidewalk. We feared for his life, so we transported him to the bushes.

Also, here is a picture of the "clamshells" you ride in at Finding Nemo. Got yelled at for taking these. Sorry, did not hear that you could not use flash photography. Anyway, I think the little ones will like this ride. It does give the little ones something to do at EPCOT

All in all, a very nice trip. Looking forward to Jan. for cooler temps and having my Disney lovin son with me!

What the heck IS that little orange thing? :confused3 That is NOT your average slug.

It almost looks like a cat.....a weird one.

Not sure what it was. I was amazed by it. Very weird, but very cute too.

It is some type of caterpillar......cute!

Thanks for the report

And that thing is great looking .Looks like something an imagineer would make.

As much as I would rather live in FL those bugs are just creepy! The most exotic bugs we have around here are wooly bear catipillers or grass hoppers. lol :rotfl: I've heard stories about bugs down in FL and that orange bug just confirmed FL does have the biggest creepiest looking bugs. lol

Can you tell i'm not a bug person? :goodvibes

Thanks for the report though! Glad you had such great weather!

I love google! Your caterpillar or at least as close as I could find will become a type of swallowtail butterfly one day! OHhh AND....I think he was cute!

We just got back today also!! We did the halloween party on Friday the 20th and really had a ball!! It was hot especially in our costumes!! :)
But I would recomend the party to everyone!! The fireworks are worth the price of admission!!
How were the crowds at Epcot? We didnt dare try it!!

The only days we encountered crowds was Friday. During the week, EPCOT was great. We went back Friday for one last Soarin ride and got there about 11 a.m. Had to fastpass with a return time of 2:30. So, it was very crowded.

Just wanted to :wave2: at a fellow Baton Rouge-ian. Glad you had a good time. We'll be there in three weeks. Hope the weather is great and crowds are low - a girl can wish can't she???
(And I think the caterpiller is cute also. Thanks for taking good care of him/her.)

The bug looks like a cross between a caterpillar and Nemo!!

Thanks for the picture of the freaky lookin' bug! It looks like a Coi - but without fins. Scary. I hope I don't have nightmares.

We were there the exact same dates but over at the AKL which was the only place that wasn't insanely crowded it seemed. We felt as tho it were hotter than normal but we are home now and it's 38, made us miss the 90's we left!!!!!

Aww, what a cute little animal!

I love the vehicles you ride in at Nemo. How cute they are. Thanks for sharing!

Hello from another Baton Rougean (sp?)! We will also be there in a little over three weeks. I am seriously praying for cooler weather for our trip! That orange thing is really freaky! It did look like a fish without fins! I'm glad ya'll had a great time!

Oh My Gosh! I can't believe I forgot to tell you guys about the best thing there! We went to Alfredo's for lunch. I usually get the lasagne and I am never disappointed. However, it was hot, so I wanted something cool so I ordered the Chicken Ceasar Salad. Dear Lord in Heaven! That was undoubtably the best Salad I had ever put in my mouth. What we get here is lettuce with lots and lots of parm and garlic. This was nothing like that. Not heavy on the garlic. Just enough Anchovy ( I know, I don't like anchovy either) to give it a heavenly flavor. I don't know if they used anchovy oil or not, but believe me, I can never eat another Ceasar around here again. You have just got to try it!
