We did a Few restaurants:
Here it goes Novemeber 8th to the 1th

Ohanas- This was a major disappointment. We did not expect the food to be spicy and since it was I could not eat anything. ALso, the service was horrible and the restaurant was so crazy. I love children but that night I kept getting hit with there hula hoops. The highlight was the pineapple at the end. We rate it a failure. Sorry to you guys who love it.
Concourse Steakhouse- This place has such yummy food. I had a seared shrimp and scallop pasta and my cousin had a steak ceasar salad. ALso, we both enjoyed there vanilla creme bulee. B+
Planet Hollywood- Surprisngly we enjoyed the food very much. Their mash potatoes were amazing w/out any lumps. Also, they have great strawberry daiquiris and good creme bulee.(B)
Rainforest Cafe- The restuarant had fairly good food and we loved the atmosphere. The downside was when a waitress dropped a whole ice cold picture of water on me. Boy Was I wet.
(B-)
Ice Cream Social - Mickey, pluto, chip and dale were there. We loved the ice cream desserts they gave you. The waitress was a sweetheart. Also, the character interactionwas great. Chip actually laid down on the booth and put his head on my cousin. He was soooo cute .Aww we had so much fun - Our only complaint was pluto didnt seem like he wanted to be bothered

Thanks for the reviews.
Hope you had a great time! We'll be there in a few weeks.

I agree with you about 'Ohanas. We liked the food but we thought the service was horrible. We wanted more food but didn't want to sleep there if you get my point. I don't think we'll ever try it again.

First I've heard of a Hula-Hoop wounding at O'hana!!
But I'm not suprised-the antics there are a bit much.

Thanks for the reviews!

I have had and cancelled a PS for 'Ohana several times. I always think I want to eat there, but the games do kind of make me think twice. I don't want to be caught up in the chaos. ;)

As two adults without children who don't always enjoy being around OPK (other people's kids) we have found that if you make a PS for ohanas later in the evening it's MUCH quieter. I think most parents aren't about having their kids start dinner at 9pm. :) We also generally ask for a table at the edge of the restaurant and not directly on the coconut races course. I have to tell you, I'll take coconut races and hula contests and laughing kids over a screaming, unhappy kid any day!

I really like the food there but then I like spicy food. As far as wait staff there, we always have mixed experiences everywhere at WDW. Usually we get a good server but sometimes you just get a dud. I can imagine how a dud at a place like Ohanas would really ruin the experience for you since it's all you care to eat but you have to rely on them bringing it by. When I went there last, the servers sort of "shared" that task and whoever was nearby with a skewer would make the rounds. Then again, the servings that they start with for a table for 2 are so huge that it's rare we need to ask for more of very much. I am allergic to pineapple so it's torture for me since it's a recently developed allergy and I got to taste the pineapple on my first visit there with only a mild reaction. Wah! It's not their fault they serve something that I am allergic to though.

Thanks for the tip Lisa F! A later PS would be a good idea - we like to eat a little later when on vacation, anyway.

Another way to avoid the fun and games is to ask for a table at the far right of the restaurant (as you face the window). We were seated there last year and found that we couldn't even see the games! When our children wanted to participate we had to leave our table and walk clear to the other end! But it would be perfect if you wanted to keep it all at a distance.

Thanks for the reviews! We're planning to give Concourse Steakhouse a try on our next trip, so I'm glad to hear you liked it.

Thanks for sharing your reviews! I don't know when we are going again and love reading about all the good food!! And even the not so good too!

After reading these boards, we have made PS for Ohana's BUT I never realized food is spicy. How spicy is spicy? Our family likes Hot wings(mild to med, kids can take it hotter) but I wouldn't want an entire meal to be spicy. Is it just certain items?
