All I can say is WOW! We ate so much on this trip!
Friday / Arrival Day- We headed for DD and paid out of pocket at the Earl of Sandwich. I had the original, it was good but a lilltle under cooked for me. My bread was bloody! my husband had the same, he obviously loves bloody bread. Total cost: 15.00
Friday Night Dinner: Our 17th Anniversary! Whispering Canyon:
We both did the skillet, it was DELICIOUS! The pulled pork was sooo good!
I had the chocolate cake and my DH had the apple pie! All was yummy. Before we left the CM brought us out a bottle of champane and sang "You Are The Wind Beneath My Wings" (badly I may add) to me. Everyone raised their glasses and toasted us and then started clanking on them until we kissed! We were both moved by it all!
Total: 70.00 on DD plus I tipped extra.

Saturday / EPCOT
Lunch- The Electric Umbrella:
We both had Bacon cheeseburgers, fries, 2 lg lemonades, and 2 cheesecakes.
Food was good and hot! We were stuffed!
Total: 27.00

Dinner: LeCellier:
We thought the dinner at Whispering Canyon was going to hard to beat, well this did. My husband started out with the cheese sampler and I had the cheese soup. While I am not a risk taker my husband is, he really liked the goat cheese. I liked the white cheddar. My soup was all I heard it to be! YUMMY! We both did the Surf and Turf per our servers suggestion, it was very good. The steak was very tender. Our server was wonderful, I want to add that everywhere we went we had the best service that anyone could ask for. We split the dessert sampler platter and it was good, I'm not a big maple syrup person but my DH loved everything on it!
Total: 140.00 on DD plus an extra tip

Sunday / MGM
Lunch: Backlot Express:
We both had burgers, fries and 2 large lemonades. They were out of dessert and they offered us anything else to substitute it, we chose water. hey it was HOT! Food was good!
Total: 26.00

Concourse Steak House:
This was another one we were wondering if it was going to live up to the previous dinner and we were NOT let down! It seemed like our dinners were getting better as the nights went on! DH had the chicken wings for starters and I had the onion soup! The chicken was different from anything I have ever had. They were GREAT! My soup was delicious. We both had the Chipolte Glazed Ribeye. We left off the glaze, our server told us it was spicy. The steak was done to perfection. My DH had the cobbler for dessert and I had the Creme Brulee. All I can say is that I'll be dreaming of it from now on! The best~ This is now on our MUST DO list.
Total: 94.00 on DD plus an extra tip

Monday / Animal Kingdom

Flame Tree:
We both did the pulled pork plate with key lime pie. It was good. The pie was just the way I like it, tart! We did have to fight off 4 ducks, 3 ibis and a couple of black birds. The duck was so close that it was touching my leg. I don't like birds. Bad goose attack when I was little. It made eating a hurried event.
Total: 22.00., i think we didn't get a reciept.

We didn't use all of our snack credits, we had 3 left. It is just alot of food. All in all we had a fabulous trip and we were NEVER treated any different from any other paying party. I was concerned but it wasn't a problem. Any questions please ask~

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for posting.

Aack! I would not do well eating with so many birds nearby....I had the chills just reading your review.

I agree about the service, we were never dissapointed, and we went during the busy summer months.

Thanks for posting, happy belated anniversary!

Great reviews, we have also adr's for wcc and le cellier for our anniversary, can't wait to go!!

They were out of desserts???? I'm sorry but that's the sorriest excuse I've ever heard, its a theme park, they have ice cream bars etc??? Cant they drive something over??? How does that happen??

Glad they "let" you have water!! Cant imagine how hot it was!! I dont want to imagine how hot it was - esp when water was a substitution well worth it!!

We were told that they hadn't gotten their shipment, and they had just ran out of the chocolate bunt cake thingy. We got 2 waters instead. It was HOT, so the water was VERY welcome. I thought it was funny :rotfl2: that they were OUT of dessert! Who runs out of dessert at Disney? :confused3
Just a side note: The park was empty, no wait times everything was walk on. I even took pictures of wait times because I know no one will believe me. We rode everything we wanted to, pluse even got to stay on for a second ride most of the time. At the height of the day, the Safari at Animal Kingdom was 10 minutes. I LOVE September!

Thank you for the descriptive reviews. HUNGRY!! I can't wait until I get to eat my way thru Disney. I do seem to change my plan with every review that I read. :wave2:

I have to ask - was the CM named BJ by any chance? We had the same thing happen on our honeymoon!

We also love LeCelliers, thank you for posting. :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

Do you think the ribeye at Concourse is big enough for DD and I to share?

Sorry, but I had to LOL at the bird comment!! I had the same sort of thing happen to me there, too. Except I was on my first solo trip and ended up not eating solo as I had a bird sitting on the back of the chair across from me!! I agree, not a pleasant experience. Same thing can happen at Casey's in MK. I'm sorry, but unless you really hear Mary Poppins singing Feed the Birds - DO NOT FEED THE BIRDS!!!!!!! That's why there are signs up everywhere!!

Cheers!

Yes! It was BJ! He was a riot! I just can't get over how everyone really plays it up all night. My hubby was like sure. it would be fun for the first hour or so, but to do this 5 hours every night! Those CMs are the BEST!

It was big! It depends on how hungry you are and if you are both big meat eaters. I was starving and I made a big dent in it. I did get it without the Chipolte Sauce. I also like my meat VERY WELL done and my husband likes his mooing. So sharing for us is totally out of the question, I can barely look at his much less eat it. It is hard coming home and eating the bah bah stuff around here! LOL

I'm sure some of the kids around us thought that he was the meanest guy ever. Shortly after we were seated a kid a few tables away was whining very loudly about something, I can't even remember what. BJ was at the table beside ours taking their order and the next thing I know he yells out at the whining kid to "stick a fork in it". And then later in the meal a kid in the section right behind ours was standing on his seat looking/reaching over the back to the table beside us. BJ saw this and said something to the effect of "How many times have I told you not to do that? Don't make me come over there!"

I got a couple of decent pictures of BJ though, and we certainly had a good time. In fact I'm certain that Whispering Canyon is on our "must do" list now.
