Hi all. I just got back yesterday after 7 wonderful nights. I will do a full trip report soon. Here are some tidbits.

Weather was hot with only 15 minutes of rain the entire trip. Crowds were great, seemed busier at the end of my week but still most things were not longer than 10 minutes. If they were we used fast pass.

Did Family Magic Tour which was fun, did Illuminations cruise (hi, scott!), did all parks twice, TL twice, DQ for about 4 hours (DD loves this-Actually, we all did:p )

CBR was very nice although I think I prefer POR. Bus transport was good to fair. We had a rental car so we used both but driving ourselves was always faster.

First time at Boma! FANTASTIC!!! Got rehitched at Garden Grill! Great fun! Rode Mission Space - it was OK. I felt a little off afterward, not nauseous, just odd. Once per trip will be enough for me.

My DD got to wake up Tinkerbell. She loved it! So after all is said & done I can't wait to go back! Now the bad new...

My parents were taking care of my animals while we were gone and my poor old dog had to be put to sleep halfway into our trip. The remaining days were tough. Fun and very sad at the same time. Last night (first night back) was very hard. I will miss my baby so much! So, can I anwer any questions? Sorry so long!

I'm so sorry about your puppy :(

I'm happy you had a great trip!

First let me say how sorry I am about your dog, that is so sad, I hope you're doing okay.

Second, what did you mean by "a little off" after mission space? I have such conficting emotions about this ride that I am not sure if I should go on it or not. I don't usually get motion sickness so I really wasn't worried about that, but the "little off" thing kinda makes me want to change my mind. Did it ruin your day at the park?

Oh and what time did you get to Tinkerbell's shop so your dd could wake her? If you could give a few more details on that experience I would appreciate it!

Thanks!

Just curious--what do you mean by waking u tinlerbell--how did she get to do it?

Thanks

I am so sorry for your loss. Remember always that your dog was one of the lucky ones. He/She was in a loving home. It's why we always spoil our dogs because their time with us is so short and they give us so much in return.

Glad you had a good trip and I am not doing Mission Space because I am off before I go on rides so I can only imagine how off I"d be after that ride. We leave tomorrow for two weeks and I hope to enjoy each and every day to the fullest.

Here's to planning the next trip!LYnn

I'm so sorry about your dog! I always hate leaving mine! It sounds like you had a great trip though! We are going next week and I was wondering if you used EE and how it was if you did? Also, was the weather warm enough just to pack shorts? And, just one more question! Will my ds6 probably like DQ enough to plan on doing this? :bounce: Thanks! :bounce:

So sorry for your loss.

Glad you still managed to enjoy your trip.

Can't wait for the report.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your old dog. They are very beloved. I know how you must be feeling, as we have all been there.

How the heck were you able to finish the trip? Sorry about your pup. They become a big part of our lives don't they? Sorry...

I'm sure that your four-legged friend was much loved, and knew it :)

I'm hoping to surprise DH with the Re-Hitching Ceremony. What details do I need to attend to in advance (besides a P.S.) ??
And how was the ceremony itself? Any details would be appreciated :)

So sorry about your dog - we just arrived back this morning from WDW and phoned everyday to check on our cats - they were being looked after by my brother-in-law. I couldn't enjoy my day fully until I knew thay were ok.

On a lighter note - the weather really was great - shorts all day long - the only problem we had was the flight being delayed just over an hour due to a really bad thunderstorm. We stayed at CSR - great value for money.

So sorry for the loss of your dog. That is a real tough one.

Glad you trip was great though.

It's one of my biggest fears about my trip next summer. One of my Dobies is 11 years old. Was your dog sick? I'm so,so sorry...

I AM SO SORRY THAT YOUR PUP PAST.... MY HUSBAND AND I ALWAYS HATE LEAVING OURS BEHIND. SHE IS LIKE OUR CHILD, AND WE WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO IF WE LOST HER.....

AGAIN, I AM SORRY....

Welcome Back!

Glad you had a great trip. I feel the same way about CBR, nice resort, but I prefer PO. I do like the curtain in front of the bathroom though.

Sorry about your dog:(

Hi all! Sorry it has taken so long to answer you guys but catching up at work and home is tough work!  First let me say thanks for all the warm thought about my dog. He was very spoiled and loved by many. He lived with my parents for several years because when I got him I lived in an apartment and they had 5 acres which he loved. Then when I got my house he lived with me and loved it! So we all are missing him. He was not sick, just old, almost 15. Thanks again!

Now for some answers....

When the Magic Kingdom opened we went straight to Tinkerbells Treasures and asked the CM if anyone had woken TB up yet. They said no, so they gave my DD a magic wand and she tapped the box 3 times and ..... off went Tinkerbell, flying around the room. Then my DD got a magic moment certificate. She loved the whole experience, even at age 11.

We did EE 2 days and I think it just helped us tour the park quicker. The crowds were so minimal though we were still able to see almost everything (even on days we had sit down lunch or dinner). If you are a morning person give it a try, if not you should still be fine.

The weather was plenty hot enough for just shorts! That's all we took!!:smooth:

I think a 6 year old would love DQ. It's almost my daughters favorite thing to do (along with Typhoon Lagoon).

The rehitching ceremony was fun. There was only 1 other table near us with any people sitting there so we had a very small audience. They made us say a few "I do's" and then we had to kiss to the count of 100 (by 10's). We got our certificate but had to pass on the cake as we had fast passes we were waiting to use on TT.

I also love the curtian across the bathroom at CBR. Seems like that would be so easy for POR to do as well. It's a great plus!

Any more questions just let me know and hope you all enjoy your trips! Lori

I just got back as well, and rode Mission: Space. I got the feeling of being a "little off" as well. It was motion sickness or even nausea, just kind of a little dizzy. The ride is set up in a big centrifuge (you can't tell that you are in it though, but they show you how the ride is set up before the ride starts) and spins at different speeds and angles. It really is an awesome ride though. It didn't ruin my day at all, in fact I felt fine within a minute of getting off. I can normally ride any ride, but lately haven't been enjoying simulator rides like Body Wars and Star Tours as much. Mission: Space is a different type of simulator though, so I didn't mind it so much. It just took me a minute to get my bearings back. Hope this helps!

Just back and loved it,
Went on MS 3 times, twice back to back (do not recommend this) need to wait until you get your legs back under you to ride again.
I was nervous after hearing about those who have gotten really sick, did not feel nauseus but legs were a little woobley.
Kids loved it wanted to go on again and again.

Hardly ever used Fast pass, waits were almost nonexistant epcot was empty.

did EE at MGM didn't think it was worth it, crowds were bigger and only 1 or 2 rides were even running, they had RR closed for most of the morning so EVERYONE went on TOT at the same time.
