The best character meal we did was Hollywood & Vine for lunch at MGM on Sunday Sept. 21.
The place was desserted and many people just walked in off the street. We were there at 11:30 AM and were able to eat from the breakfast buffet which was closing and the lunch buffet which was just starting.
The character interaction was great. Especially Pluto. They spent alot of time with my 5 and 8 year old.
Pluto kept trying to steal my 8 year old DD food and was banging a spoon on our table to get her ice cream. Both my kids found this hilarious. He also danced with her around the restaurant. He really made a big deal out of kids that carried a Pluto stuffed toy with them. Both my kids wanted Pluto toys to take home. he became their favorite character.
The food was good. It was nice to eat buffet instead of fast food.
They had mac and cheese, chicken strips, fruit for kids.

Breakfast at Donald's Breakfastasaurus at Animal Kingdom.
This was our most disappointing meal. Probably because we did it after the H&V. It was very busy and the characters spent a few seconds at your table. The wait staff is supposed to be paleontology students who play pranks but they were so busy they didn't have time to interact much. I found it to be well organized however and the food was good. If you are looking for character interaction, I wouldn't advise it.

Dinner at Chef Mickey's: You interact with Donald and Goofy while you wait for your seat, after they take a professional picture in front of a big dinner plate that says Chef Mickey. You have the option to buy which we did. We only bought one 8x10, not the whole package.
Every 30 mins or so, is a party where everyone swings their napkin around and the characters dance around. My kids loved it.
The food was really good, especially the salads and the Prime Rib. My kids enjoyed the make own sundaes and decorate own cupcake. Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale come to each table. Chip and Dale were the best. Overall, we really enjoyed this. The hightlight for my kids, however, was the trip there. We got to ride in the front seat of the monorail from MK.:D

Lunch at Tonys in MK. We did not have PS for this one and we were able to walk in and be seated in 5 mins. (We wanted a break from fast food and the heat). The characters were Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eyeore. They were very good. They celebrated birthdays and anniversaries with a party swinging a napkins around and announcing it. Food was italian all you can eat. But not a buffet. We had chicken parmesan and vegetable pasta. Both kids had buttered noodles. They had good bread with dipping sauce, and the salads were good. Overall a very good experience, especially for a walkin.

Thank you for the great reviews! Sounds like your family had a wonderful time!

Firstmickey,

thank you for the report. Can you tell me how much the photo at Chef Mickey's costs?

Thanks.
