Three of us on DDP for 5 nights (OKW). Arrived on sunday 12/23 around 1pm and went to MK around 2:30pm. It was crowded because parade was approaching so we grabed a quick bite at taco place across from Pirates(DH got FP for he and DS for Space MTN). Tacos were kind of greasy, but fixin were good;DS got quesidilla and so we used 2 CS.
Had dinner 8:45pm adr at Tony's got there early and we were seated at 8:20pm. It was an unbelievable RUSH thru! We order apetizers(salad for DS, buternut squash soup for me..very yummy and DH had the tomato and mozzarella salad..also very good. but we were just starting on the bread and pesto they brought to the table with our drinks when the apps arrived. we had tag team CM(women and man) bringing each course. Main course for me was salmon..also very good, DH had steak..very good and DS had pasta with seafood and he did not really like it. As we were deciding about dessert female cm said "I don't want to rush you..but don't you want to see Wishes? It' really great..I'll get you dessert or you can take it with you." We did not want to be rushed so we got the trio dessert(tiramisu, cheesecake and cannoli) and she did the bill while we ate. We did get to see the fireworks, but really did not like being rushed..first time we have experienced this and we are vets(DVC members since 1994). Tiramisu was very good,,by the way.

Monday-had bagels in the room and then headed to Epcot around 1pm ...DS and I split cs meal in china of chicken(sweet and sour) with rice and ginger icecream to tide us over until dinner. Did most of WS while DS headed to Mission space and TT. We met up for dinner at 8pm at LeCellier. They were running late but we had a wonderful meal...no rushing. Great breadsticks! I had shrimp for app, DH had chicken sausage and DS had mussels all were fantastic! We all had steak, of course (DS DH both filet and me NY strip). They were cooked perfectly and I also got the creamed spinach (extra, not on DDP) which was wonderful also. I had creme brulee for dessert and DS had warm apple dessert..also very good. CM was from British Colombia and she was really very nice and engaging. Wonderful meal and we exited to the fantastic fireworks ending Illuminations.....by the way fro xmas eve, the crowds were very managable and we exited via IG as we had parked at BC.

To be continued.

Tuesday 12/25: breakfast 1900PF at 10:30am. We did this last year also. We choose not to go to a park on the holiday so we try to make a festive day. Meal was very good, esp make own omelettes, I even tried lobster eggs benedict and it was very good. CM was a little forgetful and we had to ask twice for almost everything (juice, butter, DS's smoothie..it was annoying, but not enough to ruin the meal. Mad Hatter, Alice Pooh, TIgger and Mary Poppins all make the rounds and DS(17) even allowed pics!
Tuesday Xmas dinner-BOMA- we live this place and it did not disappoint. The upstairs check-in really helps with the congestions in front of the restaurant. We all enjoyed the prime rib, salmon, and spicy chicken. I had butternut squash soup(again) and DS had the corn and crab chowder. We all loved the cracker bread and loive spread, sun-dried tomato pesto spreads. We had a great meal and cm was wonderful. Home to relax (we had our mickey fiber-optic xmas tree and our xmas mickey and minnie to make the season.

Wed 12/26-I left family sleeping and hit MK for early morning.arrived at 7:30 and had done all of Fantasyland and Haunted Mansion by 8:45am! Decided to use CS and eat at Cosmic Ray's. Had very good breakfast platter with eggs, biscuit, meats and potatoes. Hot and freshly made..surprisingly good..texcept he coffee was the usual disgusting stuff. Late lunch was quick CS at ABC commissary as we hit MGM in the PM. shared cuban sandwich and DS had the burger. Just OK...nothing special. We had originally had adr for Prime Time, but decided to cancel it and made adr for necxt night at our favorite Kona Cafe. CM at guest service in MGM was able to do both. Very helpful. Later in pm (back at OKW) we decided to get take-out from Pepper Market. DH and I both got chinese combo plate(adequate) and DS got pepperoni pizza(3 CS).

Thursday-left early for AK and toured until about 10:15am(no crowds-EE was walk on)and then DS and I had breakfast at Pizzafari. He had breakast pizza and I had egg platter again. You get 2 drinks when you use cs as breakfast. So we both took extra bottle water to use for later. All was very good and the cofffee roll looked great..next time.
Thursday night-Our favorite Kona. pot stickers, sticky wings and crab cakes for apps all very yummy! I had shrimp and scallops, DH and DS both had filet and they were all wonderful(our main meal was a bit of a wait). Desserts were banana creme brulee, white choc cheesecake, and kid kone sundae...exceptional.

Friday-we decided to go to French Quarter food court for breakfast and use our last 2 cs meals before we hit the road. DH had french toast, I had same egg platter and did not try the coffee again. DS had breakfast sandwich we paid OOP. It was very busy, but breakfast offering were good when compared to OKW.
Used snacks throuhgout the trip and had 5 left on the last day so we bought drinks and cookies/candy at gift shop in OKW for the drive.

2nd time using DDP and really like it although we probably won't do it with the changes for 2008.

happy New Year

Welcome home!:surfweb:

I loved your reviews and am trying to figure a way to ditch the family and hit MK alone for 2 hours!!! You are a genius! Just to shop Main Street alone sounds like heaven!

It was the smartest move...I was back on the bus to OKW but 11:00am and did more than I thought. Even got a quiet breakfast and uninterrupted shopping on Main St.

I was there that morning too. Not very crowded at all. We walked on EE too. Also walked right on the Safari and they let us ride KRR three times without getting off.

We chose not to do KRR..didn't want to get drenched ,but we love that ride. I also wish we had tried new restaurant Yak & Yeki..good reviews. Always next trip..
