The resort was beautiful.
Room:We stayed at Ranchos 7B (to be far away) The walk to El Centro was nothing. Close to Bus stop 4. Overlooked the quiet pool, boy was it quiet. We were usually alone in the pool. Mousekeeping only so-so. Never replaced glasses or hand towels. Never moved anything to clean, found a balloon from previous tenants when we checked in (under bed)
Food:Only took food away at the Market Place. I thought too expensive for the quality, but lots of choice, convenient and fun. Had one dinner at Maya Grill - extremely good! Wonderful (best) server of the trip! Had the special not on the menu and excellent wine.
Fun:Took out a Sea Racer - complete waste of money IMHO. The boat barely moved thru the water and no where to go.
Not as friendly as Pop Century, much more grown-up but beautiful, quiet resort. All in all worth the extra cost. I would stay at CSR again, overall, great time. Oh yes we had two late night swims with the main pool all to ourselves!
I also added a short Dining Review.
One last note for Canadians:
On our Magical Express tickets it clearly says "International Visitors must claim their own luggage as Disney cannot move it onto the shuttle bus" We picked up my sisters bag from the luggage claim but mine was missing! We waited until all the bags were gone then asked at West Jet about my bag. I was pretty upset to think that someone else may have accidentally taken my bag of new vacation clothes just purchased (and some birthday gift clothes) They told us not to worry if we put the yellow Disney tags on our bags, Disney probably transferred them. Well, I was worried and had a little snit with my sister who had paid for the trip as a 50th b-day present! Not a good start. When we arrived at CSR we were told that they had my bags and would bring them to the room "sometime after 4pm" We eventually went to dinner (ADR), me wearing my plane travel clothes. The suitcase arrived sometime after that. Not good luggage handling, IMHO.
