Well we got back on Thursday, Thanksgiving day from a fabulous Walt Disney World Trip! We arrived Friday November 21 and stayed at the Yacht Club. Our room was ready right away and we headed over to Epcot immediately. We literally walked on to Mission Mars and Test Track and then did several countries and ate a delicious dinner at Le Cellar. I have never eaten in Canada before, and I think I have a new favorite Epcot restaurant. The steaks were great and so was the cheese soup and pretzel bread. We all thought Mission Space was just okay. Not quite the thrill ride we were hoping for, but still fun. The crowds did get heavier as the week progressed, but the weather was absolutely perfect.
Saturday we hit Magic Kingdom, early and had a character breakfast at Crystal Palace. The food was plentful and the kids had fun with the characters. We were able to ride pretty much everrything we wanted by about 1:00 p.m. and we headed back to the Yacht to swim at Storm A long Bay.
Sunday we hit MGM and it was a little crowded but it was no problem getting fast passes. We ate lunch at the Sci-Fi drive in and that was definetly the worst food of the trip. The kids thought it was cool, but Yuck on the food. We ate dinner in Mexico and headed over on the monarail in time to catch Wishes at Magic Kingdom. DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW, I was blown away, it is really spectacular! We watched it from the top of the train station on Main Street and it was sooo good. Also, I forgot to add that we loved Mickey's Philarmagic show. It is so cute, and a great addition to MK.
Monday was Animal Kingdom and it was absolutely packed. It was too crowded for me but we were able to hit most of the big rides except "It's Tough to Be A Bug." We met a really nice cast member named Sam at the Kilmangaro Safari that traded a bunch of great pins with my son Sam so the kids were very happy even though the park was packed. Monday night we snagged an Illuminations Cruise and it was incredible. Beautiful weather no wind, it was really neat.
Tuesday and Wedenesday we checked into the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal and spent one day doing Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. Even with front of the line axcess we spent way more time in line there than any ride at WDW. One ride with front of the line axcess was a 45 min. wait!! I do not think they manage their front of the line thing very well. We missed Disney World so much we went back to Downtown Disney one night and ate dinner at the Wilderness Lodge one night. We are definetly Disney fans over Universal and my kids are not that young. They are 10 and 12. Some of the rides at Islands of Adventure are fun, but it just doesn't have that Disney Magic. Also, my kids are really into pin trading and they love to talk to all the cast members.
Anyway, we had a great trip, I am willing to answer any questions. We can't wait to go back. I think planning was key to having a great time even though the crowds got a little thick.
