Hi everyone. We just got back last night from the world and I thought that I would give a crowd report....

We thought that the crowds were really light last week. We have been going the past 3 years, the week after Labor Day. It might have been a little busier than past years at this time, but not much.

We hardly had to wait for any of the rides, and many of the rides, we walked right on. They did not have the fast pass machines running for any rides that we saw except Space Mountain. We rode rides like Buzz three times in a row, with NO waiting.

We really thought that It was great!!

MGM studios was dead. There was no one there. It was almost eerie. But it was still wonderful.

We did notice that the crowds picked up on Fri. It may have been because it was the weekend, or because of NOJ. Downtown Disney was packed Fri. night. Tues.night, there was no one there.

I hope this helps. We did not do the dining plan, though we did eat at CRT, Chef Mickeys and Primetime. So I do no know if the dining plan really has affected the crowds as far as eating is concerned. We had reservations for CRT and CM, but were able to walk right into Primetime. I am sure that some restaurants were more crowded, but we did not notice.

Hope this helps anyone that is going soon!!! :goodvibes

Thanks for the update!

Sounds like you had a fabulous week! We went the exact time as you last year and it was the same. Very nice time to go!

Now you can start planning your next one! haha!

Hi, thanks for the crowd updates..Wondering about the food at your 3 sitdowns?? Those are the 3 ADR's I have for my upcoming trip so was just curious how you liked the food/atmosphere at each?? Was CRT for Brkfast or Dinner??

THANKS!
Shelly

Thanks for the helpful crowd report  , we always love going in September for the light crowds. Can't wait to leave next week!

Hopefully when we are there it won't be busy either !!

Great to hear! I love going when it's like that. I went in January 2002 and it was a very similar situation. I'm hoping for a similar experience in a few months!

Unlike many others, I'm willing to trade the longer hours for the smaller crowds! :goodvibes

I posted a big review of CRT on the dining board. Unfortunatly, we did not have that great of an experience there.

Chef Mickey's for breakfast was wonderful. We actually had "brunch' (our ADR's were at 10:45) The characters came around to our table 3 times. They spent a lot of time with the kids.

Primetime was pretty good. I think that our waitress tried hard to get into the act, but she was from another country and it was hard to understand everything that she was saying. She was very nice though and we enjoyed the food. It was good. The atmosphere was also neat

Hope this helps

If you thought last week was empty, next week should be even better!!! I laugh when everyone says "the best week at WDW is the week after Thanksgiving". I went at that time last year, um......no thanks. I'll take September. Now that I think about it, maybe we shouldn't be spreading this best kept secret..................... :earsgirl:

oh crowds, please please please stay away!!! :crowded:
last trips have been during christmas or spring break.
I'm about to :Pinkbounc  :goodvibes

Ok everyone IM BAAAAACK!!!!

Wow what an awesome week to go.

We got there on Sunday night and do to a bad experience with a limo company we only had time to check in and go have a quick bite at world showcase and watch illuminations best show of them all "imo".

Monday we did Mgm...great great great/ This was my fav park last time we went and it was again this time. Crowds this day were next to nothing. The longest wait was.....NONE!!!! Got there first thing and did TOT 3 times, RNR 3 Times, then walked around since it was now a late 10:00am lol. next we did Star Tours. The wife and son did Muppets while I stayed out with our sleeping baby, They liked it alot, and after that it was over to Pizza Planet for lunch. This was a very good TS but to make it better we were order number 50 for the day, and they are giving the 50th customer of the day a fun little treat. We got a signed certificate, and then a fastpass to Star Tours and after that a tour of the control room and we were able to watch a group while they were riding...that was fun. more rides and shows then off to watch the parade which started about 5 minutes before we got our curbside seat, more shopping then off to watch Fantasmic, thanks to H&V package.

Tuesday, off to the dreaded crowds of the Kingdom. We got there at 9:00am, and by 10:00 we did carpets, Pirates, HM (TWICE), Splash. After that it was a little walk befor our lunch at Crystal palace. Then it was over to tomorrow land were we did Space mountain 3 times, buzz 4 times, and stitch once (more than enough times). By now it is a late 4 or 5...lol, so we head over to small world which the baby danced all the way threw...so off to that again....and again, then over to Pooh, dumbo, peter pan, snow white, etc...you know all the rides.....the longest wait of the day??????? POOH at 10 minutes!!!!!!!

Wednesday was over to Animal Kingdom. Got there and went str8 to safari and waited about 15 minutes for the trucks to get started...walked around, then off to dinoland were we rode dinosaur twice in 15 minutes, and primevil whirl twice, and the other ride (like dumbo & carpets) once. over to lunch, and left fr the day. I was totally disappointed in AK. While dinosaur was cool, the rest was a real local zoo and carinval feel to it and was not worth the price of the other parks. So we left here and got to DTD at about 3:30, shopped and then had the best meal of the trip at CapnJacks...that was awesome for only 1 credit...even better than Coral Reef which was 2 credits.

Thursday was supposed to be a stay at the resort and swim day but instead we went to MGM in the morning to ride TOT & rnr 3 more times. A quick trip to the little mermaid which was having technical diff???? and then over to MK for more fun!!!! the best part about this??? only walking in 10 minutes before the parade and catching another curbside seat..that blew my mind. went back to resort and had dinner at Shutters which was also awesome!

Friday was Epcot were we did test track 4 str8 times without getting off!!!!! they kept asking if we wanted to do it again since noone was there, so of course we did! then over to soarin.....OMG this is great!!!!!!!!! especially with a 5 minute wait. then we walked the showcase until CR dinner, did innoventions a little bit and spaceship earth, which was a great ride to me!!

Today our plane left at 6:20 so we had our luggage picked up and headed over to DTD for a last minute spree, back to park to swim,,,and off to the port to get where I am now.

so all in all no crowds and great food and fun!!!!!!!! The weather was awesome, only really hot 1 day and not much rain at all, We have now vowed to go this week everytime we go.

I do have aquick rant though!!!! to all the people on this board that complain about strollers being used as batteringrams, maybe you need to do a quick look out for yourself as well. I hit maybe 4 people for the week and all of them were trying to fit in where there was no room, or they got in front of me and then quickly stopped for no reason other to open the park map all of a sudden. everytime I hit someone..or even when I watched others hit someone it was the person who got hit fault!!!!!

so if anyone has questions ask away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy, that is just what I wanted to hear. :cool1:

Wow - reports like this makes me wonder why we went in July! Awesome!!

I know that when we book our next trip to WDW, I'll be thinking crowds first!
Thanks!

Like that this August too! We were there Aug 12-20. Got congested at parade times in MK, but otherwise, ghost town. What at great first trip for us!

I am so looking forward to low low crowds in the parks!

We leave in about 12 hours.. can't contain my excitement anymore!!!!

:cool1:

We just got back yesterday, we were there from 9/4 - 9/10 and the crowds were great. We did EMH on Wednesday at MK and we rode BTMRR and Splash Mtn and Space Mtn and they would tell us if no one was in your role waiting to ride that you could just stay on. So we got to ride several times. We walked right on to several rides at all the parks and the longest wait time was at Soarin and it was 30 minute but it didn't take that long to get on. As someone else said Friday evening was busy w/ the NOJ going on but other than that it was great.
