the new character breakfast at Tusker House, Yak and Yeti, Chef Mickey's, Pinocchio's Village Haus, Le Cellier (had an entree size bowl of cheddar cheese soup), Narcoose's, Coral Reef, Boardwalk Bakery, and LTT, where I discovered a new favorite dessert-Ooey Gooey Toffee [stuff].

Hi Simba's Mom,
Hope you had a great trip. Did you do some of these solo this trip? I would love to hear what you thought of Yak and Yeti and what you ate there. I have booked there for a lunch in May.

This dessert looks delicious!! How was the Tusker House Character Breakfast?

It sure does! ::yes:: Anyone happen to have the recipe?!

I've had great success with e-mailing WDW and asking for recipes. It may take them awhile (up to a couple of months), but if they are able to give it to you, they will gladly share! There have been only 2 recipes I've ever requested that they couldn't give...one was b/c it would have been a safety hazard! :rotfl:

Chef Mickey's and Le Cellier were the only two I did NOT do solo. And at Yak and Yetti, that was the first time I sat at the bar on a solo trip. The CM encouraged it-I was the only one at the bar, so it was like having a personal server. Everything was OK, but what was wierd was that my hot tea wouldn't go thru as part of the DDP, so I had to pay OOP for my tea. The lettuce cups were good, but kind of spicy. The duck was good, as was the 3 sorbets, especially the mango (Mmmmm!). It's really hard to judge because I wasn't really hungry that night but I was determined to try the resturaunt. The resturaunt was beautiful though, so I'd go there again, just for the theming.

I really enjoyed the Tusker House character breakfast. BTW, the juice she offered me was the same as is served for breakfast at Boma. I sat in a far room, not the main room, so it was relatively quiet. I have a feeling for most people, if you want a quiet character breakfast, this isn't the place to go. But all the food offerings were great-Mickey waffles, cinamon pudding with vanilla sauce, fruit, etc.

Great pics, and thanks for the feedback:goodvibes I can hardly wait for May to come around, the restaurant looks beautiful. Thanks for the head's up on the bar seating. I love sitting at the "cooking place" (bar) when I go to Jiko solo.

Thanks for the pics!!!! We will be going to the Donald's Safari Breakfast in January. Was Daisy Duck there? Also, how was the food? I can't wait to try it out!!!!!

I didn't know you could have an entree size bowl of cheese soup at Le Cellier!

I appreciate your reviews! Was your toffee dessert from LTT served at lunch or dinner?

And the food was delicious, all the choices. The only thing I didn't like was the hot cereal next to the oatmeal. It was too "corn-y" for me, I was hoping for a grit-type cereal. Just my personal preference. But there were so many other great choices!

And the dessert at LTT was at lunch time-I'm going back there next trip to have it again.
