Just back from 8 days at Coronado (3/25-4/1). Did the parks every day. Got to go on Soarin and see new stunt show at MGM. Weather was beautiful but still a little too cold for swimming (at least for me). Managed the parks well with the help of TGM. He was right on most of the time. MK was always crowded. It was actually the least crowded the saturday before easter, go figure. We did Epcot on easter night from about 5 pm on, world showcase side only and it was great. Highlights - Soarin, renting a boat on the Seven Seas Lagoon, Jiko, Illuminations from the Rose and Crown patio. Coronado was beautiful, but man they have hard beds!
Did MK 2 mornings and 2 evenings
Epcot 1 morning and 3 evenings
Ak and Mgm each 1 morning and 1 evening
Any questions??

Saw the guy next to me jump the counter and attack a manager at cosmic rays because his veggie burger was taking too long to cook....seriously, the place was a madhouse, huge lines etc. he had been waiting maybe 10 minutes, he was freaking out, yelling at the poor girl behind the counter, demanding a manager and when one showed up (in less than 5 minutes) he jumped the counter, knocking over tons of soda and putting his feet in other people's food (luckily i had gotten mine 30 seconds before the manager showed up) and started screaming and poking at the manager while his buddy held the manager by his shirt. This was definitely the worst experience of the week for me, everyone in the place was cranky and complaining. The couple in front of me was complaining about how busy it was and how they had been looking for food for 2 hours. 2 HOURS. what were they doing??? It took me 15 mins to order and receive my food, what are you doing that it takes you two hours??? and complaining about the crowds. Hello!! It's easter do some research people!

Wow, please tell me they were escorted out of the park and into the back of a police cruiser

Do you think Coronado would be to spread out if you had little ones? I've heard it's a big resort, but that it has a wonderful pool and playground for kids. Did you run into a lot of conventioneers?

Thanks for the report!

We're headed down on the 16th, and I'm really anxious to see the new attractions (especially Soarin'). Are they open all the time, or only during select hours? Are they open just to AP holders, resort guests or everyone? Should we be able to see Soarin, Motor Car, and Cinderellabration without too much difficulty?

I left with my food before I saw what happened, I hope he was escorted out...my SIL a former CM said that's what probably what happened. I also think I saw a disney "security" guy on a different day, a big muscled guy with a black suit, black sunglasses on and rubber gloves on his hands (to protect from blood?) walking up main street with a purpose.

Coronado is big, but I don't think it is too spread out. We were in casitas 1 about as far from the main pool as you can get and it took me about 7 mins to walk there. plus there is a bus stop at each section for tired little legs at the end of the night, so you never have to walk very far to your room. we have no kids now, but i wouldn't hesitate to take them to CSR.

there was some sort of medical convention there towards the end of the week. they had some private events going on and the convention center was open, but nothing was closed off to regular guests. they were no bother except to remind me that there is a "real world with jobs and stuff outside of disney".

cinderellabration and lights, motors, action are on regular operating schedule. they are on the times guide and the stunt show has fastpasses available. Soarin is another story. we went by it everyday we were in epcot and it wasnt open until the last day we were there. there was no advertisement for it, no nothing. if you didnt know what to look for you totally would have missed it. lucky for me i knew what those people were standing in line for behind figments' ride :) the CMs there said the ride had been down all week and had just opened that day. it was very cool. the line is able to hold 3 hours worth of people. they didnt ask us for anything ap/resort id to ride.

Hmmm, big muscled guy in a black suit with black sunglasses...sounds like MIB! :smooth:

Thanks Snoopy!
