Tell me what you got at the Tea Room! We are going in two weeks!
I got the Grand Tea, and thought it was rather good! The sandwiches were wonderful, though I didn't really care for the onion tart thing, or the pate. The Trifle was very good, and since my husband was with us, she gave us enough to share. I also got my girls a white chocolate Cindys slipper - it came with another little "boat" of dark chocolate that was to die for!
How was the Turf Club? The menu looks good but we don't stay at SSR so is it woth the trip? TIA
The food was good - I had the grilled salad which I would order again in a heart beat, and a onion soup that wasn't very good at all. If your staying there, its an OK place to eat, but in all truth, when DtD is so close, I wouldn't waiste my money on this place again. JMHO
What's better wpcafe or express?
We ate at both, and while my pizza at the express was good, and so was my DDs mac & cheese, it is not at all as good as I was hoping. The Cafe - NEVER AGAIN! First of all, my DH had a hair in his food. We handed it back, no appology, and it was very obvious that all they did was take the hair out, turn the steak over, and give it right back. The way I know is because there were frizzled onions on the steak, and some were stuck together, and we got those same ones back.... Not acceptibal if you ask me. Plus DH asked for it to be medium, and it was more than well done. The food itself is nothing special here - For a chef of Wolfgang Pucks standards, I was highly dissapointed.
I would love to hear your thoughts on Rose and Crown
LOVED Rose and Crown! I got the surf and turf here, and both were really very very good. I booked our reservations for 8pm in hopes to sit outside and see Illuminations. Would have been perfect timing, but Epcot stayed open an hour later (10pm) which ment that Illuminations was an hour later. I didn't realize that - DDs were very good on this trip, but asking them to sit at a dinner table till after 10pm is not possible for a 5 & 6 year old.
