Just back and DH is considering buying into DVC!!

Okay, I've been sold on the idea of DVC for some time now. DH was not even considering it. Well, last week, while we were there, he listened to the reps talk about it. When they dangled the Golden Fastpasses in front of him, he was all into taking the tour (score). Now that we're back home, he's been researching like crazy. I think we'll go through the resale market as we don't have to put as much up front. I would love to hear your experiences and advice about buying into DVC!

I never really thought that DVC would be for me. We had stayed at mods and values and were fine with them. We didn't really need the whole deluxe thing, and definitely didn't want to pay the price for the rooms!! However, after staying at the Wilderness Lodge last year we realized that we absolutley LOVED it!!!

We researched, saved and bought a DVC resale. I spent a lot of time reading everything I could on these boards to figure out if it was really the best option for us. After all the sorting through and figuring out we decided that even if it didn't SAVE us money in the long run we still would be able to take a Disney vacation every year. That is what was most important to us in the end. There are always bills to be paid and things that need to be fixed around the house etc. But now each year we will get to take that great vacation and not feel guilty that we could have/should have spent the money on something else. I am so happy that we bought and am looking forward to many years of wonderful memories, as cheesy as it sounds!!!

We decided to buy a small amount of points to get started. And we knew we would be staying in studios for a few years. Eventually we plan to add on more. good luck in your research.
