Magic Mommy and myself just returned from WDW Monday night. Another great trip sans the kids. We stayed at the Coranado Springs.
Many miles of walking and exploring and pool bar hopping. We really don't drink but those pool bar smoothies (non-alcoholic) are really good. We did have a few real drinks though in the restaurants we went to.
Maya Grill was great for breakfast and the their new lunch buffet.
Boma was really really good and we spent time at AKL before we had dinner and it's a beautiful hotel.
The Biergarten was great for dinner. We tried Marrakesh for the first time and that was also good. Ohana was excellent also except for the family next to us that let their kids run, jump and smash their matchbox cars up against the glass windows. I love kids and have raised two pretty good ones I think. So come on parents don't be lazy when controlling yours. We watched wishes from the Poly beach next to Luau Cove....very romantic
We tried to get lunch at Cindys w/o a reservation and had no luck. Make those reservations folks if you absolutley want to eat at certain locals.
We met some great people on this trip. My wife makes friends very quickly and I'm lucky that this trip some were very cute girls.(hi girls) We also met a young kid taking pics over the wall at Expedition Everest. He is the Disney Forever correspondent for WDW. Check out his great pics at Disneyforever.com.
Hmmmm what else? Oh yeah, the crowds weren't bad. We didn't bother waiting for attractions with long lines. The imagineers did a great job on IT's A Small World. Vibrant colors and sounds great.
Oh, Magical Express worked well for us in all aspects.
And on the monorail front. We talked to a vetran monorail pilot and I had to ask the expansion question. Answer: Fuel costs are really raising eyebrows. The monorail can move 300 to 400 people at a time. The monorail dept is really pushing for an expansion. Cost/Benefit Analysis will be the deciding factor.
O.K. gang. I don't want to be to long winded so thats it for now.
We have started our countdown to our next visit which our kiddies will be coming with us. They are really excited.
85days...... :bounce:
Later,
Mark
