Just back after 4 years! Here's my thoughts..

Is your DISBoards logo sign the logo from this website, or the lime green mickey??? I use to put up the little lime green mickey when we got there.

It's the lime green one. I kinda Borrowed it from someone here on the forum. I think it was bigdaddyrog???

PS
I think I'll add one to the dash board of our truck next time too. I don't think anyone can really see it in the window of my 5th wheel.

Glad to hear that Ms Sundee is doing well, she has a gift for remembering names, I dont know how she does it.
I would guess my name came up repeatedly since I am one of her favorite FW guests

Yes she does and I wish I knew how she does it cause' I am horriable with remembering names. :) I am sure she would have had I given her the chance, but we had some much catching up to do that she never got the opportunity! LOL!

Glad to know you had a good time, welcome back to camping at the fort! I hope you had a great time on your recent cruise too! We went to the fort today just for a day visit but I didn't see Sundee, we just walked around, visited the stables, sat on the beach for a while and got Trail's End take-out, then went over to the Boardwalk and rented a surrey bike (my legs still ache).

Hi proudmomof4,

Thanks it feels really good to be back camping at the fort again. :) I actually enjoyed it more than I enjoyed my stay at Port Orleans last year. The 5th wheel was definitly a good investment for us, even if it means I have to stop cruising for awhile. :)

Your day trip sounds like something I would have done, minus the surrey bike, cause' I am not that brave! LOL!

Oh, I'm pretty tough...no hurt feelings here. I must apologize to MMketeer for getting OP. I should have posted under that one about finding the nearest liquor store. I won't get off OP anymore.

No apologizes neccesary here. :) I've come to embrace everyone's off topic banter around here. LOL! I am just glad to see my post was so darn popular! Two pages of responses! Wow! :)

PS
My BT's will be turning 7 yrs old on Friday! Yikes! These precious little angels our on this earth with us for such a breif amount of time, that trust me, I enjoy every minute with my kids. :)

So.... am I the only person here that has no clue what a BT is???:confused3

:) Sorry, yup that's exactly what BT stands for Boston Terrier.

I'd give you a prize, but I'd have no clue what to get you. So, instead I'll just send you a happy dance instead and some pixie dust. :wizard:

I will always take pixie dust. My DW loves Tinker Bell.

Very good report. So, they made the sites in the 1900 loop narrower? Interesting. Also, personal observation, after reading a few of the new posts on this board, it seems that a lot of folks have an obsession with beer and alchohol. I would rather camp next to anyone with a pet, poop and all, than camp next to a bunch of drunks. LOL Enjoy those BT's.....

At least a drunk won't hump your leg!

Don't defile my post with something as trivial as someone else's opinion. If all this anti alcohol talk continues I might have to get back on H.:hippie:

Lynndiwagon, I have been on these boards for years, and I don't drink, and I don't think everyone that goes on about " drinking " are exactly what they pretend to be, I think it's more of a way to " fit in " than anything, like any other forum people become alittle bit more brave and maybe a bit of something that they really aren't, but could be in a pretend life without any responsabilities.
I mean heck I can tell you how to mix up about any drink, I've read it so many times. I just think for some people it's a way to find something in common with others...and if truth be known try to fit in with what they think are the cool group...lol...you remember like at school the girl that says she has slept with alot of guys to be cool and really hasn't even slept with one ...:lmao:

Terri, I must agree with you 100%. It's hard to imagine that folks would go to FW just to get blasted. I went through that stage while serving in the Navy many years ago and learned a hard lesson. Nothing wrong with a few drinks, but to be obsessed would indicate a problem. At least you can yell at a barking dog to shut up without getting shot. Lol

I too have notice that too many people seem to really be proud of the beer and alcohol and like to mention it. too bad.

Jim

I think we're really all a bunk o'drunks!!!!

To be honest, I rarely drink. Ive had many, many years thatI can barely remember, but age catches up with you and hangovers become harder and harder to get over!! To be completely honest...I only had ONE drink at Disney in December....a wimpy Baileys & coffee after dinner at the Maya Grill!!! But its IS alotta fun to kick out the "drinkin with the buddies" stories with these guys....and I have a feeling that I will get pretty slammed with Gatordad and the few others that are planning a Memorial Day trip to the fort, and looking very forward to it.

Hi ... my name is Scott and I like to have a few beers while camping at the Fort.

If you notice, all of this talk is done tongue in cheek. Personally I am not trying to fit in, I am not trying to hang with the cool kids or anything like that. I drink socially and its fun to have a few beers when youre camping.

I also like to make pancakes and eggs in the AM when camping, I am pretty sure I dont have a pancake problem either.......:lmao:

Oh GOD did someone say something about not having a pancake problem:rolleyes1 , I'm in trouble now because I can't confess to that. popcorn::

OK my name is Cindy :rotfl: and when I'm camping I enjoy adult beverages. Thats what I enjoy about camping! I rarely drink when I'm not camping. I don't get really loud or crazy I just have fun. I realize this is not for everyone but it works for me!
