DH and I are back from two days at the parks on Thursday and Friday. The weather was BEAUTIFUL! A couple of things I noticed:

#1 It wasnt quite the same without our kids, while it was great to have a vacation from them it was a little sad to not see the magic in their cute little eyes.

#2 The baked potato at the place by the PFF was DELICIOUS! And the Dole Whips were again fabulous!

#3 The line for PFF seemed really short at lunch-time on Thurs, it was only one section long although they were having the meet and greet down in the performance area instead of up in the little lean-to behind the line.

#4 The AP night for WoC was a madhouse but I havent done it normally so maybe its always like that but we got into line about 4:15pm to get the tickets they were going to hand out at 5pm, that went fine but the line when we left was CRAZY long it ended out by the Cars characters.

#5 If you want to shop, the World of Disney store really does have the most stuff in one easy to shop location but it was fun to look through the shops at the parks.

#6 Maybe WoC is always like this but when we went over to the park at 7pm, the line was already quite long for the special AP showing at 9:15, dh and I decided to just hang out and see what we could see of the 8:15 show. We ended up watching it through the window of Ariel's Grotto, it was actually a pretty good view of most of the show and best of all it required no waiting in line or being smushed in with other people. I wasn't that impressed so we gave our passes to a couple as we were leaving.

#7 Friday morning it was super fun to watch the massive amount of people head to SM for the new Ghost Galaxy overlay, we headed straight there and while dh rode I got to watch the wait time go from 5 minutes to 45 minutes in the time it took for him to ride it. Haunted Mansion was a long wait too but we got fast passes for about 45 minutes later so we got to do a few more rides during that time.

#8 The only other rides that seemed to have really long lines while we were there were Matterhorn and of course Peter Pan. We were able to walk onto or wait no more then 5 minutes for everything else we rode.

#9 I didn't think the Halloween decorations were really that cool, I guess going at Christmas time last year I was expecting more spectacular decor but it was pretty.

#10 We stayed at the Ramada Plaza on Katella, the walk to the park was about 10 minutes, the hotel was great: comfy beds, great free breakfast, nice pool/hottub, helpful front desk people.

Alrighty, let me know if you have any other questions!

Thank you for the report! :goodvibes

We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express for the first time which I believe is next door to the Ramada Plaza. I was glad to read that the walk is only 10 minutes.

Thanks for sharing. Did you have any special Halloween treats? Didn't your DH think Ghost Galaxy was totally cool? And I agree about the baked potatoes. I had a "loaded" one with a diet coke for around $8 with my AP discount and it was delicious and I was full until dinner time. I also agree that WOC is a madhouse and can't wait for the craziness of it to settle down. It's a great show, but not worth 1-2 hour waits.
