Hi! I'm just back from my whirlwind solo trip to WDW, and boy am I tired...And the blisters on my feet...ouch!!!
I had a really great time. I rode on every ride I wanted to, saw shows, fireworks, parades, etc....I didn't wait in line for any ride longer than 20 minutes...Fastpass and the single rider lines totally rock. (I rode Everest 3 times within an hour my last day, just because I could!
) Also, going first thing in the morning helped. It amazed me how many people were arriving at the parks as I was leaving (usually around 12 or 1 pm.) I didn't really follow any strict touring plans (sorry, TGM!!) but I *did* pay attention to his recommendations for which parks would be busiest on which day.
I did get a few people that gave me funny looks or comments (esp. the hostess at Boma), but overall enjoyed being by myself. I really liked doing what I wanted, when I wanted. The best conversation I had was with a man wearing a Red Sox hat at AK (I used to live near Boston), so it was fun to talk baseball. He also recommended that I wait for the front row on Everest, which I did.
The one thing I did that I hadn't been planning on was some resort hopping, just to check them out. It started my first day at DTD, when I decided to get on the first bus I saw, and it happened to be going to the Yacht Beach Club, Boardwalk area. My next sojourn was going to the Wilderness Lodge and then taking the boat to the Contemporary, which I had never done before.
All in all, a great trip. Can't wait to go back, don't know when that will happen though.
