We returned late last night from our 8 day trek to Disney World (10th trip in 11 years). Stayed at the AKL and we were on the dining plan for the first time. Our room overlooked the savana where the construction is across from. Animals were numerous and close and the resort was fantastic. Ate at Jiko, Coral Reef, Chef's de France, Canada and Kona to name a few. Jiko was head and shoulders above the rest. Did not do as much park touring as we always do. This was due to the extreme heat, yes it was very hot but not so that we had a bad time. Our son spent a lot of time in the pool and we joined him most of the time. Toy Story Mania was a madhouse at park opening. I received an all day Fastpass at Animal Kingdom.
