Although Dh asked if he should breakout the camera for pictures to add to the food porn thread, I just wanted to dig in...sorry :rotfl:

9/25 - Spoodles - The perfect start to our vacation. There were 10 of us so we pretty much tried everything. The salmon and steaks were impressively thick, and the sauce on the steak was yummy. I had the fettucine with shrimp and scallops (the server gave us the addons with the free dining). I did get a picture of dd's make your own sundae

9/26 - Tony's Town Square - Disappointing. The food was not all that great (the breadsticks were the best part...they were yummy) The server gave us a front of the line pass to any attraction because the service was slow, but that is not why we were disappointed. The food just was not that great. Dh says they didn't even need the pass as there were no lines after dinner anywhere.

9/27 - Marrakesh - This was good. Dh liked the belly dancer ;) Mom loves the cuisine (and it is where I was born). The shisk kabobs were so yummy! I ordered the sampler dessert, but Dh's crepes atlas was better (although I'd ask for less honey)

9/28 - 'Ohana - Despite returning to the room in the afternoon for a break (kids wouldn't nap), my 4 yr old had a major meltdown so I couldn't really enjoy dinner until Dh had eaten (I took her out of the restaurant so as to not annoy other diners until she calmed down but even then she just sat under the table). The meat was pretty dry, except the steak it was yummy. I loved the wings and the potatos and salad. The shrimp did nothing for me. The dessert was very good though. And our server was awesome.

Here are dd's doing the coconut races and hula hoop contest (pre meltdown)

9/29 - Akershus - Not impressed with the food, although Dh seemed happy with it. The princesses however were wonderful. Dd4 couldn't eat she was so excited so she ate fruit loops for dinner back at the resort. We saw Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, Ariel and Cinderella.

9/30 - Le Cellier - The perfect ending to our vacation. The cheese soup and pretzel bread were very good. The filet was very tender and the baby loved the mashed potatoes. We were too full to enjoy the chocolate mousse and sorbet.

Overall the dining plan was great (it was FREE how bad could it be). I loved seeing the amount our bill was before it was zeroed out. However, I probably wouldn't pay for it. Half the time we just weren't up for appetizers/desserts (I blame the heat). And usually Dh would have preferred a counter service so as not to kill park time.

After our dinner at Spoodles (bill was over $400) Dh asked me how much the dining plan had cost and I told him it was free he said 'I don't feel so bad paying so much for the room now' :rotfl2:

We did have extra snack/counter service credits left at the end even though we bought waters everyday.

We do have a pic of dd9 with a mickey sundae at spoodles.

As mentioned elsewhere, the main frustration at Spoodles was the highly shatter-prone glasses.

Of course, since the gratuity they get to add to the charge to the dining plan becomes a comission for food add-ons.

dh, from upstairs. ;)

Shatter-prone glasses that they serve you to drink in? :confused3

I always wondered what the O'Hana's kids activities looked like - thanks for posting pics.

BTW - your girls are adorable!

I'm pretty sure Dh is referring to the fact that our kids broke 2 glasses before the server took them off the table.

Er, yeah. One glass someone at the table ( :rolleyes1 ) tipped over and it shattered. The other, dd picked up and put down a little firmy and the stem snapped.

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for posting.

A new first for me...........an interactive husband & wife review. Thanks for the laugh. You have some cute kids.

Yeah, we have entered the wireless age in a big way. If I had my camera now, I could show you a pic of dw with dd1 on her back as she (dw) surfs the board.

Well, I am thinking when dd1 is 4 will be a good time, if the enjoyment had by current dd4 is any indication.

Just wanted to say thanks. As another set of parents that takes their kids out of a resturant when they melt down (my son did this at Akersush when he was about 15 months old) it's nice to get the same consideration from others.
