Hi everyone,
Ok so it's been a week of reality... but it still feels like we just got back!
I'm toying with doing an actual trip report, but in the meantime thought I'd share a few highlights.
I'll start by saying we had no issues with anyone using strollers or scooters, encountered no grumpy CMs and no tour groups, and had no problems with anyone trying to cut in line.
Transportation was great although we were disappointed we didn't get a chance to try out the new Minnie Vans!
Favorites:
character interaction - Kylo Ren. He was seriously intimidating!!, close second was Magician Mickey.
meal - Trattoria Al Forno breakfast - characters were OUTSTANDING, and the food was delicious
1600 park fare was next best - fantastic characters and good food. (Stepmother asked the kids why they made me a "rat" - I was wearing mouse ears
)
ride- hands down FOP. Unbelievable... everyone wanted to ride again but the line was prohibitive.
"silly" moment - getting people to do the YMCA on Small World
Fun!!
Less than magical:
NRJ - we didn't enjoy this ride. The animatronic was cool... but it was too long of a wait for too little payoff. DS now calls it "small world without dolls"
Halloween Party's impact - DS was seriously bummed about the halloween decor up everywhere - and I was less than happy that we couldn't get the photos we have done every other trip of the kids with Minnie and Roy and the town square goofy statue as both were removed to make room for Halloween party stuff.
We did not attend the party itself.
Tomorrowland Dance party - a small thing but the kids enjoyed dancing with the characters before, and now it's just the DJ... so we found something else to do.
Overall, it was a fantastic trip, had a few firsts, and everyone can't wait to go again.
Happy to answer any questions!
