We are just back from an 8 night visit. Stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and took advantage of the Magic Your Way Dining Plan. Spend 2 mornings at Typhoon Lagoon. Any questions?

Welcome back! Did you do any of the EMH nites? And how were they?

We will be going to Disney for the first time. We have already purchased parkhopper tickets and have our hotel reserved. Do you have any tips for any of the parks? Are we allowed to bring snacks and drinks into the park? Thanks so much for any help.

We did several. Found the EMH morning OK, as long as you were out of the park by noontime. Always were able to ride several of the big rides at each park. We did 2 EMH evenings, AK and MK. AK was great, very uncroweded at night, infact at 9:30pm (1/2 hour before EMH ended), we were the only ones walking around the tree of life!! That was really cool at night. At MK, most everything open was a walk-on after midnight! Our kids are 10-12-14, and even at that age, we all napped that afternoon, else we would never have made it so late!

Welcome Back!

We are planning on spending a Saturday morning at Typhoon Lagoon. What time does it pretty much fill up? Any advice on how to proceed? We have a ds7. My plan right now is to be there when it opens, and probably leave by 11:30 or so...

Thanks!

Welcome back, :cool1: We will be leaving 7-31 and I was wondering if you had any tips on dealing with the heat?? :rotfl:

So what did you think of POR Riverside??? We'll be staying there at the end of September for the 1st time. Any bus problems?? Any other problems??

Hello! Did you get rain each afternoon? What rain gear did you find most helpful and least cumbersome? Did you take advantage of fastpass and how did that go? We haven't visited WDW for ten years so things will have changed greatly when we visit in August. Really looking forward to it!

Just returned this past Friday and we had rain a few of the days. Our first night of rain was in Epcot. We just took the shoes and socks off and put them in a bag and had a nice walk around. We ran into rain on Thursday at AK which made it a bit worse because when there is lightening in the area they shut down all the outside attractions in the park. Which in AK is nearly everything. We waited it out and when it got to a drizzle walked around. A lot of people invested in the ponchos, but we did not. It wasn't bad. Finally they opened up the rides in Dinoland we so rode them and then headed over to the Kali Rapids. Rode it twice and got soaked the 2nd time. I don't think the poncho would have even helped us. Despite the weather we had a great time and believe it or not the kids did not complain once when it rain. I think it helped to keep them cool.

Have a great trip!! :Pinkbounc
