Overall crowds: manageable. We did NOT rope drop, but arrived within an hour or so of opening each day. Late morning/early afternoon FP, then breaks and back for evening hours. We got to do everything we wanted and most multiple times.
Contemporary Resort: staff were friendliest I've ever encountered. GW room was great with the exception of the herd of elephants stomping around in the room above us at all hours (we were in a ground floor room).
Transportation: walk to MK can't be beat. Hated EPCOT transport and ended up using Uber for that. Express Transportation was a breeze. Loved it, except for when DD walked right by the no photo sign and took a photo. I was mortified. CM made her delete it right then and there.
Food: Garden Grill breakfast was amazing. Dale appeared to be irritated and ready to get the hell out of dodge. Rest of characters were awesome. Second Dale around made up for whatever was going on with the first.
Plaza was great and we stuffed ourselves and then got the Mickey pants sundae. Worth it.
Chef Mickey's (I hear the groans) was a bust. This is a tradition for my DD so I begrudgingly booked it for breakfast. We waited 40 min after check in to be seated and we were done eating and sat for 20 min more waiting for the first character to arrive. We only made it through Goofy and Mickey (who acted like Dale at GG) before we bolted. The others were still held up at other tables. Food was good (better than dinner) but service was awful.
Pandora: did evening EMH opening day with great success. Crowd control was fantastic. Very well organized and kept things moving. NRJ was breathtaking. I watched the videos but they do not do it justice. Very well done. We missed FoP because I thought it was closed to further guests (it wasn't). Just more reason to return.
